The food was fantastic. Lots of choices and everything was delicious. A 5-star for food. They fall down on service. We went there with a group of 14 and I’m not sure if the server outright disliked us or was just having a day. Would have ordered dessert and more drinks had we been able to get ahold of a server. Parking is a hot mess especially in a large vehicle but I expected that. Would return again because the food is so good but would forewarn the group about service.
Not the Vinaigrette of old where fresh and friendly was the norm. This was our 3rd meal in recent weeks. First was a to go with 2 Cobb salads. They were fine. Second meal was a to go with 1 chopped and 1 Caesar salad. The chopped was marginal. The Caesar consisted of a few romaine leaves, not grilled as described on the menu, and croutons terrible salads. Last night we ate on the restaurant's patio. The server was not welcoming. The Cobb lettuce in the salads had either been out at room temperature for an extended time or just not fresh. The pleasant patio helped make this an enjoyable outing.
Enjoyed a Vinaigrette salad for take-out once before visiting the location itself. Honestly, I have to say the salads are pretty good BUT the service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. I walked in with my boyfriend and no one even acknowledged us for 15 minutes. (I must add that both of us have worked in food service, so we try to be very understanding of understaffing and longer wait times, but it was NOT busy at this time). Anyways, when the server finally came over he was very rude, only asking "What do you want to order?" - Really, not even one "Hello" - Food came out in a reasonable time and it was a good meal blah blah blah but we did not see another member of the staff until we asked for the bill, again getting some attitude from the server. Im sure this may be related to the whole tipless restaurant thing but damn they could have at least put a smile on their face while moving at a glacial pace. And yeah they still provide the option to tip. I recommend carry out :)
Don't get me wrong, the food is pretty good. However, I will never go back to Vinaigrette after the absolutely abysmal service I received tonight. They overprice their salads to include tips, but that is not an excuse for essentially zero service. I walked in with my girlfriend and we sat ourselves, then waited 15 minutes for anyone working at the restaurant to even acknowledge us. Nobody came to welcome us, nobody brought us water or even offered to, let alone coming to take our food order. When a server finally did come around, he damn near rolled his eyes at us and bluntly asked "what do you want." Once we got our food, we didn't have any correspondence with an employee or server until it was time to pay and leave. I will personally never return, and would urge you not to even try this place if you haven't been before.
We found this place tucked away on Don cube to Alley off Cerillos. Very nice! Vegan choices but also non-vegan healthy. I had an awesome mushroom stew and hibiscus iced tea. My hubbin had turkey avocado sandwich and lovely salad - not overdressed, which we like.
Cool place. Food is pricey but good. This is a TIPLESS restaurant. It’s included in the price. The final receipt will still allow you to tip again so watch for that. Tip is included. Nice atmosphere. Food was very fresh.
Vinaigrette is one of the most tragically overpriced restaurants in all of Santa Fe. The parking lot is a disaster, the management is rude, and the poor staff is overwhelmed and underpaid. The food is not worth the price. To sell a Kale salad but not massage the Kale, or chop it very finely is laughable. In all my years of eating here I think one in ten experiences has been what I would deem as an acceptable dining experience. I can't complain too much though, I should really stop going, and so I take responsibility for my part in this disaster. The salad I ate today, for which I paid 25 DOLLARS, was about what I would expect from a pre packaged salad from Albertsons. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Not worth it at all.
Unassuming little space that is easy to miss if you don’t know where to look. Was visiting town and ended up eating here for our last meal. Very glad we stopped as we had some less than stellar food experiences in our short Santa Fe trip. The Decour was clean and crisp, the restaurant itself also clean and not overly crowded. The food wasn’t fancy, but it was healthful and fresh. Would recommend if you would like some healthy options and an easy meal.
The salads were great, our server, Niema, was not. The service was so bad, it had us wondering if we'd done something to elicit it. I would love to go back or at least order takeout (the frisée salad with the duck confit was fabulous, props to the chef) but with the gratuity included in the price, it's just not worth it. 5 stars for the food, 1 star for the service.
Ordered through GrubHub as we couldn’t get out to the restaurant tonight as we had originally planned. I ordered the Nutty Pear-Fessor. It was so good! I can’t wait to go back and try dine in.
