The sushi was really good, and they have good Eel sauce. Anything fried in theor tempura is A+. Only one star removed because of their Udon. Bland broth and no fishcake or mushroom. The staff was great tho. They listened to our concerns and offered solutions.
Affordable, great service, I've never seen it busy, great food and that wasabi is spicy! ?Try puting one part wasabi and two parts in a dish and stir it together. SUPER GOOD.
I’ve lived in Santa Fe 10 years, been to every restaurant. And I must say, not only does Tokyo Cafe always have quality sushi, but I want to mention they make the best calamari I’ve ever had. Some calamari has too much breading and almost no meat, but at Tokyo cafe they serve meaty fried calamari with the perfect amount of breading. This is the best sushi place in Santa Fe
Was excited to eat here but when we went inside the restaurant around 7 pm, the staff looked at us maybe 6 or more times but never acknowledged us, not even to say it might take a couple minutes to be seated. After over 10 minutes of waiting and being ignored, we just left to go to another sushi place who acknowledged and seated us right away.
I have been coming here with my husband for years and love it! Always good quality and I don’t eat fish, so the fact nothing tastes like fish that shouldn’t is extra important to me!! Delicious ?
I always have good takeout, and I come weekly. Fast and reliable, with a great selection and very reasonable pricing. It’s very hard to be disappointed when the food arrives home perfectly packaged, our dishes stacked neatly with the bag stapled to keep everything upright as it should be! Regular satisfied customer.

How did I not know about this little gem!! Wonderful lunch special!! They do have a selecting of sake and beer. We had the shrimp tempura, it was light and crispy. We had the gyoza...I'm a texture person, and they nailed it! Sushi was good. All around my new favorite place to grab lunch!! I believe there might be a drive through attached.
