Delicious! You walk in and your mouth waters at the smell of BBQ. Beautiful on the inside and outside. Our waitress was kind and helpful. The food was pricey but it sure was delicious! Stuffed potato with brisket and ribs!
I had a takeout dinner of the Barbecue shrimp over penne with Parmesan cream sauce and brown butter. There was no flavor of Parmesan, looked like the pasta was in a butter sauce with a little cheese and then with either a light barbecue sauce or a light cheese squeezed over it. It looked like there was garlic on the shrimp but I couldn’t taste any garlic so it couldn’t of been fresh. The whole dish had no flavor. I don’t know if this is a problem of Covid kitchen, where good cooks can’t be found. I’ve never had a bad meal at the ranch house before. I wish them the best and will wait a while before going back.
One of the best restaurants I've been to in a while. The prices were extremely reasonable, especially considering the portion size and quality. It looks like an upscale restaurant and I was a bit nervous walking in, thinking it would be too pricey, but I've eaten just as expensive fast food. I ordered the Slammer - the house made sausage had an amazing flavor. The house made bbq sauce was so good I bought a quart of it to take home and so did my coworker. He ordered the Green Chili Brisket Burrito and raved about it. The Apple Crisp is a must order - warm, cold, crunchy all mixed into one dessert, yuuum! The service was quick and friendly.
What took me so long to try this amazing restaurant? I'm so glad we finally did and we'll be back for sure! The smoked cheddar, green chile queso was amazing and we got the larger portion to take some home. I ate the entire plate of smoked chicken enchiladas and have never had such palatable cablacitas! Very fresh and the perfect texture. My lunch partner got the steak and it was cooked to perfection and the loaded baked potato was superb. The creme Brule was also delicious and fresh. The lemonade was also house made and tasty. The server was exquisite and though we did not need much help we witnessed them go above and beyond for an elderly customer that made my day! Please do not wait to try this amazing restaurant!
Looking for good food in Santa Fe family trip…. This was definitely the place! I am stuffed…. Portions were huge! Doug was a great waiter and really took care of us for our first visit to Santa Fe
We were visiting from out of town and were very happy with everything. We will be back again one day!!!
My husband and I are on a 3000 mile road trip and Santa Fe was one of our stops. I read about The Ranch House and knowing what a BBQ nut my husband is, we decided to give it a try. Both the exterior and interior were immaculate, well decorated and comfortable. Our server was Doug and of the countless servers we’ve had on our journey, Doug was by far the best. He was informative, attentive and professional. We started with the happy hour trio of chips, salsa and green chili queso. The chips were devine and I’m a tortilla chip snob. My husband had the BBQ sampler of brisket, sausage, pulled pork, ribs, potato salad, baked beans and green chili cornbread. My husband loves good TX BBQ and he said The Ranch House was as good as any bbq that he has had out, just the right amount of smoke without being overbearing. I had the BBQ salad with grilled shrimp and it was probably the freshest salad I’ve ever eaten outside of home. It was loaded with corn, black beans, tomatoes, cheese off the block, onions and the crisp romaine lettuce. We were both full but Doug suggested dessert so we ordered the apple crumble, it too was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about The Ranch House and if I lived in the Santa Fe area, I would return.
We were told to choose our own seat on the patio and we did. Then we were ignored by the staff for 15 minutes. The hostess was rude when I went in to check as a couple that sat after us were served their appetizers. No waters, no server, and staff was inside pointing at us and then quickly looking away. The rude hostess that snapped unapologetically the server was "coming right out" was wrong. We waited another five minutes. Our server was friendly and very apologetic. We were served quickly everything but the check. Our kids ordered cheeseburgers but one came without cheese ? It was remedied quickly. Seems like the front of house had communication issues or at the very least hospitality issues. Food was pretty good, it hit the spot. Half chicken was a little dry and a little bland, but the sides and cornbread were tasty.
Frankly, I typically eat lunch here when my car is at the nearby Santa Fe BMW for servicing. They open for lunch at 11AM. Still, the food is good and the service attentive. I could get a very good soup instead of a side with my ribs for $1.The ambiance is good, no complaints.
Consistently delicious bbq! We eat bbq everywhere we go from Fl., Georgia , Tennessee , Texas … We come here every summer several times. This place is DELICIOUS. ALWAYS. This place is a 10 min. drive from downtown with plenty of parking and tables to accommodate larger parties. Best Mac and cheese! The best spinach dip! Ribs are perfectly smoked w/ dry rub. Lots of meat and lean! If you like them wet , their bbq sauces are the BOMB! Try their homemade sausage too - so yummy. Caesar salad is excellent. Side dishes are all excellent. Desserts couldn’t be better. Looking forward to coming back next summer.
