We just ate at this place on a random trip through Santa Fe and wow, I was impressed! It’s a little hard to find because it’s in a plaza on the second floor, but the food is amazing and the staff clearly works very hard. We had several of the small rolls, a fancy rainbow roll, and the OH EM GEE, as well as the chicken fried rice. All of them exceeded expectations! It’s a hidden gem, and be sure to check out the turkish lamp store down the street too.
Well I typically do not like giving restaurants a bad review! Either I write how much I loved the place or do not write anything at all! I have to make an exception regarding this restaurant - SUSHI8. The greeter/host/waiter/cashier was rude and made me feel as if he could be so bothered. The restaurant was noted to be closing at 9PM and I arrived at 8:05PM to an empty restaurant! With so much time I didn’t think it would be a problem. I gave SUSHI8 two stars for the food and nothing else. The Bento Box I ordered was average and have had better food in other places in which I’ve eaten. Even when paying the check the all in one server/etc was rude. The prior reviewers must have had a different set of staff! I would not recommend nor would I ever return to this place!
Great sushi, big variety. Very comfortable atmosphere. The service was very friendly.
Our first time trying Sushi8, outstanding service and delish food. We had Beef Teriyaki Bento Box, Seafood Udon stir-fry, and Crab Rangoon.
BEST sushi in Santa Fe and it’s a short walk from the downtown plaza. Family run restaurant with authentic food and friendly service. Every time we’ve come for dinner they have fish delivered- Another confirmation that the fresh tasting fish really is fresh. This is our new go-to place!
Everything is quality, and delicious. I actually ditched my friends to come eat this by myself cause I love this place so much. 10/10 would recommend and staff is always extremely friendly yet firm.I got the rainbow roll with, spicy sauce, house made. $13 before tax.
Very good sushi and good selection. Fresh and fun.
We ordered take out, food was Fresh and delicious. We tried 4 different rolls. Pictured is the Hello Kitty rolls. Sani rolls are a must & the Philly Rolls. Loved that they have a gluten free option for soy sauce.Chicken fried rice was amazing great option for kids.
We ordered from Sushi8 a couple of times in the past years and we really liked it. However, we noticed that customer service got worse in the last months.Today, we wanted to give it another try and ordered Sushi for pickup before 6pm. We arrived 50min after we placed the order at the time selected when we placed the order. We were told that they did not start preparing the order yet but promised us to be ready 15 min later. After we came back, again we were told that they didn't start preparing the order so we canceled and went to a different place.I understand that things can get busy and if communicated properly, I would accept that. But today was a bad experience.
The food was fine and that atmosphere was lovely. It was a nice quick meal although it was not a hidden gem. My wife and I had sushi but each roll was on a separate plate, it ended up crowding my children and I had to put everything on two plates. The presentation looked nice but it did not make sense because there were cherries on everything. We got three orders of gyoza and there were different sauces but no sauces on the menu. My children had the chicken udon and had no complaints. It was a nice meal but I would not go back there unless there were no other choices.
