Searched out this place after reading raving review in New Mexico Magazine. Food was just OK. Don't take guests here for an outing.
Ordered the combo enchiladas they start off with saying u can't have one of each they all have to be the same. So they pre make it based on the pic u see the cheese already set. So they make it in the morning and serve all day. So the enchiladas was terrible and dry u cut into it and it breaks apart. Rice was clump together and mushy. Food was absolutely terrible. Never advise anyone to go here. Ohh had the tamale the cheese tamale wasn't alot of cheese and for 3.50 a piece wasn't worth it. Just all together stay away.
At Posa’s El Merendero Tamale Factory you can expect all your favorite New Mexican and Mexican dishes. Their salsa is one of my favorites in the Santa Fe area. Definitely addicting!The food is always consistent and the staff are super friendly. Their tamales are amongst the favorites with locals and visitors.They have catering available and will set up for your event or party. I highly recommend Posa’s El Merendero Tamale Factory. They have been doing an outstanding job for decades!
Born in Santa Fe and raised at Posas! Hands down my favorite place in New Mexico to eat. The breakfast burrito has always been my favorite. The staff at both locations are friendly and fast. Clean restaurant. We live in Albuquerque now but whenever we are in Santa Fe, that's our go to spot, even for date night! ❤️
Excellent, inexpensive breakfast burritos with the best meat selection I've ever seen (not just bacon or sausage). The red and green chile are both tasty, but not all that hot. Everything else I've had here has also been good. The online ordering app offers tons of choices to customize your meal. A light and friendly atmosphere and nice patio.
Very good tamales. The green chili is definitely on the hot/spicy side if that's your preference. I prefer more flavor and less heat, but to each his own. They have pre-wrapped frozen tamales available if you want to get some for later. Overall, it was worth the stop.
The address to get your great New Mexico dishes. Take it out, or dine in. Order in advance and have it waiting for you. Busy, but friendly and efficient staff. Everyone knows, THE place to get your tamales!
The people were nice and food was delicious. Got the Santa Fe plate and the tamales and pasole was soooo good! The portion were perfect for fullness and good for the price. The food came out quick, hot. and fresh. I'm excited to break into the tamales we brought home. I highly recommend this place!
I love love living by Posas. I've had just about everything on the menu and not one disappointment. Recently I ordered off their catering menu for a lil baby shower I was having, and everything was a hit, they loved the food. Even in bulk this place rocks. Can't go wrong here I've even gotten some of the frozen items they have and just as good as fresh stuff. I will forever be a fan n frequent customer. B
