Delicious food, great atmosphere, killer cocktails. This was our second time visiting Paloma and it was even better than the first. We enjoyed the marigold margarita and the tequila spritz, both very refreshing and dangerously drinkable. We split the cauliflower tacos which I could eat every night for the rest of my life (don’t fear the raisins!) and for entrees got the pollo en mole and the lamb. Amazing flavor. Do not sleep on the lamb!
The food was delicious but not 5 stars. Still certainly not a disappointment. The mole chicken n sea bass was our favorite of the dishes. Great margaritas with a twist. Our server was great but she was also the bartender so very busy. The outdoor space / patio is cute.
This was good but not as good as some of the other restaurants in the area. Still above bar just nothing to scream about. Mole chicken was pretty good and the sea bass but otherwise ok. Drinks were decent. Service was touch n go but they were busy. Ok outside seating.
The margaritas were delicious. Tons of great atmosphere. The Brussel sprouts are a must get along with the Carne asada. The salsa trio was on the spicy side.
I made a reservation a couple weeks in advance of our trip knowing it’s a popular and small restaurant. When we arrived about 10 minutes early we were advised that out table wasn’t quite ready and could we wait about 10 - 15 minutes. That turned into 50 minutes. I’m pretty easy going but that was excessive in my opinion since there were two 2 top tables next to each other and we asked if they could just move them together for us and we’re told no. That those were for reservations! WE HAD RESERVATIONS! the food was beautifully presented but not amazing. The service was just less than ok. And I had to ask [remind) server that out cocktails were to be removed from the bill as per host. We all got dessert and coffee and it was dropped at our table so fast without offering spoons or silverware. I guess I expected better of a restaurant that came so highly recommended.
Absolutely delightful in all levels of food and hospitality. Excellent atmosphere, service, cocktails, and food. Make a reservation!!! it is super busy and booked up. It’s comfortable and beautiful inside, nice layout and the bar area just looked so chic. If you are fish-lover and want dishes like ceviche, book an early spot! Even though our spot was around 7pm all the fish was already gone. Every single fish dish was sold out, gone. We didn’t know if we would be happy with other items but we ordered and ordered and ordered… not a single dish we had was bad or boring. We were blown away. The margaritas was fantastic too but we were too busy eating the chicken mole the superstar sopecitos, and smothering everything in their green and red sauces. We could eat there every night. If you are visiting or live in the area you must check this amazing spot. It’s def going into my repeat list!
Ridiculously good food. Chicken mole plate fed two, was perfect with some tortillas. Margaritas were outstanding. Pumpkin flan with a pinon compote was very creative and perfect. Empty plates.
We were lucky enough to get a reservation at this very popular restaurant. The drinks, appetizer, and dinners we ordered were excellent--really nicely prepared and spiced. The place was crowded, but the service was still very good. One of the best meals we had on our journey West.
This place is very popular. Despite having reservations, we had to wait 25 minutes to get a table. The server was excellent and knowledgeable. The La Mariposa cocktail with mexcal and aperol was huge, though not overly sophisticated. That also applied to the rest of the dishes. Everything was pretty good but fairly straightforward. The mole sauce for the chicken was mild. The mushroom fajitas needed more flavor. Only the sea bass (the most expensive dish) was really good. And the churros dish came with a thin chocolate sauce rather than the advertised caramel apple sauce. But it was still overall pretty good.
The first thing that you need to know is that you need a reservation. We went in on Saturday without one and the wait was 1 hour 45 minutes. We decided to try another restaurant and while at the other restaurant we booked for 3/13/22 (the next day) at 8:15 PM which was the first reservation we could get. When we went in we were 15 minutes early. The host told us that our table would be ready in a few minutes since the folks were just finishing up. We did notice a table for 2 that was available. We waited outside for the 15 minutes and the host called us in and said our table was ready. It happened to be the one that was available when we checked in and not the one he indicated. In any case we were seated and this young female server came over and asked us for our drink order which we gave. She came back a few minutes later and asked if we wanted to order now and have our drinks delivered when they were ready. We agreed. That was the last time we saw her. My wife wanted some salsa with her dinner, flagged this young lady down, asked for Salsa. We never saw her again until we got the check. She never came by to see if everything was OK, etc. She did however hover over other folks. We believe that since were and older couple and dressed nicely but casually she discounted us and concentrated on younger people. She did not get the 25 percent tip that we normally give but significantly less with a note as to why.
