Opuntia, located at the Santa Fe Railyard doubles as a restaurant and a plant shop. We were there on a Friday night and they even had a live singer who brought their dog with them! We ordered Mushroom croatini, two Japanese veggie bowls with kohoku rice, and Salmon satay with veggies and kohoku rice. All were delicious and two of the diners had enough to bring home some for second dinner! If you are in the Railyard area this is a great spot for dinner.
Great huevos rancheros. Really freaking good. I will order this again. It's a twist to your usual huevos rancheros.
Pretty cool atmosphere, lots of plants and even a koi pond! That being said, the food was good, if a touch pricey. Portion size was decent as well. We'll probably go back and check them out for breakfast another time.
The food is not great. Service is bad. The staff has a very blase attitude. I had to ask 4 times, (4 different people) for some ice tea! The space is nice and the view is great! I recommend going for a drink only!
Delicious, breakfast tacos
We stumbled on this place when we were at the Railyard. It has healthy entrees and a variety of teas. Loved the plants and fish pond!!
The food is okay. The space is beautiful with great view of the rail yard. The service on the other hand… is quite literally the worst in Santa Fe. I don’t know why I have come here more than once because every time the staff is super rude. It seems as though they don’t care about the customer’s comfort. Any questions you ask they will answer with complete disgust as if you’re in the wrong for asking a question. Also, the presentation of the food is funny. You’d think for the price they would put more effort into the plating instead of just throwing the toast onto the plate. Opuntia would be so much better if the entire staff wasn’t so rude.
This place is one-of-a-kind. The cooks here know EXACTLY what they're doing and somehow create dishes that are above and beyond the status quo. Absolutely amazing atmosphere, all of the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Food was brought to us in 5 minutes tops. Absolutely wonderful experience for a tourist like myself.
Great service and grain bowls are excellent. I had hot tea to drink any my husband had an old fashioned which he loved because it wasn’t overly sweet. Cool urban setting with nice views of railyard
The physical space is lovely - very airy and green. I was there on a Sunday morning and everyone who was working seemed incredibly stressed and surprised (?) it was so busy. The hostess seemed super young and inept. Totally in over her head. Toast was good albeit kind of a rip for the portion size. The presentation was kind of hilarious and looked like something I’d make when I’m stoned… probably won’t bother going back.
