Always a favorite place! Food was amazing, service was great even though they were very busy, and ambiance is just outstanding. We will be back!

Great food and service! Parking is a challenge.

Amazing Bass! Wonderful and knowledgeable service… lovely Saki flights. The burger is always amazing. It was a difficult meal after a funeral and Izanami brought us comfort and joy.

We came a little early after Ten Thousand Waves and they’re very accommodating to squeeze us in. The restaurant itself is very beautiful especially at night and our server was amazing. He was cracking a few jokes here and there. I know there are mouth drooling pictures on here and the food delivered from start to finish! Don’t think about maybe you’ll reserve sometime and trust just do it! You will not be disappointed! :)

I love everything about Izanami right down to the sunflowers and garden at the entrance. It's a culinary sanctuary a stone's throw from town that checks every box on my dining-out list.

Izanami is consistently excellent. The servers and other staff are professional, efficient and friendly. The food is delicious and well presented. Every detail is perfect, including the decor and ambiance. A Santa Fe gem!

Chirashisushi was superb as always. Melon salad a bust...the flavorings /toppings were intriguing, but the melon itself was low quality, not ripe, pieces too close to the rind. Don't serve this dish if you don't have quality melon!

Jaz was kind enough to seat us on the enclosed porch since I requested a booth and was told it would be OK. I understand that a guarantee shouldn't be given. It was Sunday so no construction. Jaz served us and he is a superb manager. The food was delicious - especially the bass. We look forward to our next visit.

I now realize after my visit to Izanami, I had never experienced fine dining before. This was a first-time experience I will never forget!

Excellent food, the best Japanese food in northern New Mexico hands down. Sake menu is outstanding. Be prepared for a more laid back touristy/family customer base, but the service and food more than makes up for it. Look forward to coming back
