We usually have faster service but things moved a little slower last night. Our fajita dish was delicious but queso was a perfect compliment to our dinner. The side charro beans need improvement.
This used to be one of our favorite Mexican/New Mexican restaurants in Santa Fe (where we have lived since 2004). The food quality has significantly gone downhill in the past two years or so. The margaritas were watery, weak, and lacked flavor, the dinners were served lukewarm (other than the fajitas) and lacked taste and texture. The green chile in particular, ordered with the cheese enchilada, was absolutely tasteless. One feels that it is all now catering to tourists who probably don't know, or don't want, nice spicy green or red chile. The refried beans were completely uninteresting and the cheese was barely melted on the enchilada. There are many much better values in town for that kind of food (The Shed, Plaza Cafe, and several others) for good hot New Mexican fare.
Local favorite. Waiters were a bit rushed, but that may be due to being understaffed. Great food.
Great spot for authentic New Mexican food. Fun place
Fun spot, lively and comfortable outdoor seating. Good real Mexican food.
Excellent place. Very accommodating for handling a large party. Thanks for the great time!
Great place with delicious food. Guacamole was a treat
I would NOT recommend this restaurant!!! It took almost 30 minutes before a waiter finally came to take our order (& only after I asked another waiter to send someone). When I got my Margarita it had to go back because Iâd asked for no salt - instead of re-making my drink, it was just dumped into another glass because I still tasted salt in the drink. My dateâs chicken fajitas were inedible - overcooked & tasteless with soggy tortillas. My seafood fajitas were only slightly better - shrimp & scallops were OK but snapper was dry & also soggy tortillas. When I asked the waiter to take his chicken fajitas off the bill he asked his manager for approval, but the manager never even came over! WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
Great Mexican and New Mexican food. Great outdoor and indoor seating and wonderful views.
Gabriel's is one of our favorites, but on this visit service was a little distracted and the carne adovada barely had any meat. It was mostly red chile sauce, which is delicious, but compared to previous visits, it left me wanting a bit more pork. I'll return, hoping this was merely an off day, as I've had wonderful meals here before.
