This is a great place to try authentic real Mexican food, which is different from the traditional "Mexican" restaurants in Santa Fe. I really enjoy the pibil burrito. It is in a convenient location on Palace Ave and Grant across Grant from the old Courthouse.

Great atmosphere and incredibly fast service! The staff are incredibly friendly. The chef even came out and checked on us. Highly recommend!

I randomly found this restaurant while walking around Old Town in Santa Fe. I ordered a sangria which was very tasty guacamole and chips we are very good chips. Guacamole was good but could’ve been chunkier. Then I ordered the Chiles en Nogada. OMG!!!! I’ve now got a New Mexican dish that I absolutely am in love with. Many ingredients, very complex flavor profile, beautifully cooked. A truly outstanding, memorable dish. They do now have indoor/out fl door seating, not just takeout. What a great meal.

Time to revisit now that the pandemic is less an issue and Fiesta Oaxaca now has a great outdoor seating area. Once again I had to have the Chile Nogada and they are as always, outstanding. My wife tried something new: CHILES RELLENOS VERACRUZ and it was also outstanding. What I found amazing was how great the black beans and the rice were. I'm usually a bit lukewarm for black beans, probably because there are never as tasty as these. What a great flavor profile. My only minor disappointment was the Flan which wasn't very creamy and smooth. Maybe it wasn't as fresh as usual. I have to take half a star off (but still, 4.5 stars). Also, next time if I try the Flan, I've got to request no chocolate whatever it was on top; never necessary with good Flan. This restaurant has really good Horchata too; great flavor, obviously homemade. Outside seating was lovely.

Hidden gem, small but flavor packin’! Hands down the items to try on the menu; ensalada da nopalitos jicama Mole rosado de piñon Chile en no Hana! Do it…. I dare you!

There is nothing fancy about Fiesta Oaxaca, but this is terrific and uncommon Mexican food in a more or less bare bones setting. The food is Oaxacan for the most part, I gather, and also from Southern Mexico. The mole is made seven peppers and five nuts, all pureed into a rich sauce and has a much more chocolate taste than any other mole I have tasted. The little things here leave a big impression. The chips and salsa seems to include home-made chips (a lot of them) and three salsas -- red, green and mole. The beans on the platters we had were black and richly flavored (as opposed to the glutinous tan ones so common in Mexican restaurants). The pork carnitas had a complex and subtle flavor, We chatted with the owner/chef for a bit, and were impressed by his (appropriate) pride in what his kitchen is producing. This is a restaurant not to be missed.

Wow this is a sleeper restaurant, meaning it is super good but flies under the radar. We ordered the mole sampler appetizer and then chose our entrees from there. SO GOOD. And the margaritas were great too. This is good, authentic, Mexican food from the southern part of Mexico. We will be back!

- Service: Excellent- Food: Mole Oaxaca Enchiladas is Excellent, Mole Verdes Enchiladas is excellent, Salsa verdes is excellent- Would I go back? YesGreat eatery with traditional Mexican dishes from the Oaxaca region. Appears to be family run and all dishes are homemade. Santa Fe is very lucky to have this establishment. These dishes are hard to find within the United States.

Omg, this place is amazing! Sooo many vegan options! Great to finally have vegan Mexican food in Santa Fe ? the mole sampler is amazing - the pink mole was my favorite. Super friendly staff and a dog-friendly patio. We will definitely be back!

The food was decent but pretty minimal for what we paid. It sounds like maybe this is the place to go if you are vegan and are wanting Mexican food? We expected a bit more of a traditional Mexican food experience (i.e. chips and salsa on the table, rice and beans with the meal, large portions, etc) but ended up finding out we got charged for those items when we asked for them. Not a big deal... just not what we expected. The service was good and employees were very nice!
