Wir waren auf unserer Reise auf der Route 66 in diesem kleinen mexikanischen Restaurant Essen und können es sehr empfehlen. Viel Auswahl große Portionen und alles frisch und lecker.
Great food! Plates were large and hot!
Santa Fe is an expensive place to visit and we were staying far from downtown at a hotel on Cerrillos Road. Right across the street in a modest shopping center is as good a New Mexican restaurant as you will ever find! Kindly service and delicious food in huge portions! We ate here twice and tried the Navajo taco, a couple of kinds of enchiladas, and migas. Everything was great in a humble and unassuming atmosphere. Do yourself a favor if you are staying in Santa Fe -- skip the drive back into town and have a great dinner at El Comal!
Let me say, right out of the gate - you may not want to go in based on the exterior. It’s in an old shopping center. However, the food was amazing. Best guacamole I’ve ever eaten and I make pretty good guacamole. We had beef stewed in cumin paprika and other spices. Amazing. I ordered a sangria thinking I’d get a water glass size, no In a frozen margarita glass. I told the owner about Google reviews and he didn’t seem to understand. Much better than the restaurants I’ve eaten at in the Old Town.
Steak was unseasoned and overcooked. Enchilada, beans, and rice were average. I wouldn’t order that meal again. And I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.
The food was really good and the hot sauce was very spicy. They were busy, but the food came out quickly and was definitely homemade, not frozen. I gave it four stars because they fry their chips which made them hard for my liking.
Yesterday was our first time ever here and can’t say we regret it at all. The staff was super friendly, food was so delicious! We went in with 2 hungry kids and we got tended too so fast and the food was made quick too. Will be going back soon for sure. Their sopaipillas were the best! ?
Not fancy, but clean and fantastic food!
We ate hear twice during our visit to Santa Fe. It was close to our hotel (Fairfield Inn and Suites) and hotel front desk recommended it. The food was outstanding, authentic and reasonably priced. Service was great as well. Decor is nothing fancy but the place is clean and functional. Will eat here again in the future.
If you want real deal New Mexican food you have to try this place. Spicy salsa, red, and green chile. As a New Mexico native I can handle spicy and it still had me eating lots of sopapillas with honey. Reminded me of home cooking with a casual environment. The brisket tacos were tender. Even bought some hand made tortillas and salsa to take home.
