Ordered the pad thai beef, it was terrible. It was sour and it seemed to me like they added tomatoe sauce into it. Threw away half my order, I would say AVOID this place, they don't know what they're doing. Also, my wife was scammed when she paid for our takeout order. BEWARE: they automatically add a 15% gratuity by hiding the information on the bottom of the screen on the tablet, one would have to scroll down to adjust the tip otherwise it defaults to 15%..sophisticated. tech scam. Also: their screen/ tablet never offered a receipt, she had to ask the staff for one , that is very suspicious. I will be contacting the better business bureau in regards to this tomorrow. I will never be back .. avoid at all costs. SCAMMERS!!!
For anyone thinking of coming here, don't. Save your money! The food was not that good. Also, for anyone ordering takeout... be careful! If you aren't fully aware of how much you're paying, they will make you tip automatically on top of tax (around 15%). Place is kinda scammy. And if somehow you made the mistake of getting food here, ask for the receipt!!
Such great, fresh food. Good portions. So glad the dining room is open again. Atmosphere is very nice. Our waitress was excellent!
Spent all of quarantine missing this place and they're finally open for eat-in dining. Had the Mongolian beef, Hot-n-Sour soup and some of my friends Hong Kong noodles. Just as good as I remembered.
Seriously inedible. Some cold, some lukewarm… all bland and needed some flavor and basic seasoning. They were very busy but still, I couldn’t eat it.
I have always loved Chows UNTIL now, My co workers and I had ordered recently and I can't believe they charge for a tip on top of tax! RIDICULOUS!! Plus I found a hair in my coffee chicken, The rice was super dry didn't taste the same like before. I used to tell everyone I know about this place and now I will no longer recommend it. Such a disappointment!
I was excited to try this place on a recommendation from a local friend, so I went there Sunday night, January 2, 2022. The food was pretty good, but a few things probably need attention:I know that high-quality jasmine rice is used, but charging extra for the rice (both white and brown) seems unfair. It would at leastbe better if the customer was told ahead of time that there would be an extra fee for rice.I ordered the spicy chicken and orange chicken and ranch spring rolls. I think the best dish was the orange chicken. Very tasty and big portions! No complaints on this one at all. Really good! The spicy chicken entrée was very spicy and had an inordinate amount of red chili peppers in it. See the pictures. Also, what doesn’t show in the picture are the large chunks of garlic in the dish. The garlic was mostly raw, maybe sautéed a little bit. Although I love garlic and I love spicy, this combination was too much for me. I don’t know what happened with the chili peppers. It seems that the chef may have overdone it on my dish. Again, see the attached photos to give you an idea of how much there was.The ranch spring roll was fairly good. My complaint would be that it had mostly lettuce in it. The lettuce comprised about 80-85% of the volume. The other 15-20% was rice noodles and carrots. The dipping sauce had a strong garlic flavor, which I didn’t really mind. I was expecting peanut sauce, but maybe that's what they serve here.Would I come back? Yes, I think maybe the place is better than I experienced. They had a busy night of takeout and I waited about 30 minutes for my meal to be prepared. Perhaps the chef was in a hurry or just made some uncommon mistakes. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, but wanted to report what I found.
Very thankful they were open on New Years Eve. We ordered and picked it up. It was ready on time. They have an interesting menu with a good selection if unique entrees. We ordered the Vietnamese rolls. The roll itself was good, clean and fresh. The dipping sauce needs an overhaul, it was terrible. I used the amazing hot chili oil instead. We ordered potstickers. They were overcooked in places which i think is normal. The potstickers need more content, the inner portion was cheaply done. In otherwords, they need more filling. The green bean entree had great flavor, slightly overcooked. The schechuan chicken was overcooked but it was fine. A generous portion on the entrees. They charge for rice fyi.
Food was okay. They were out of shrimp but didn't refund just assumed we would eat something else and put dumplings instead without asking. ordered at 4pm, told it would be ready at 5:15, got there and food wasn't ready until 6! We got home with our order and NONE of the rice sides were in the bag. Disappointed.
They're currently trying to fill way too many arders (greedy) and subsequently compromising their quality. I have eaten here, and ordered from here, for in excess of 20 years, easily. They're CURRENTLY compromising quality to satisfy qauntity. AT BEST, you're BEST to order during "off hours" or you''ll be subject to "bait and switch".
