The food is always excellent as are their baked goods. Portions are huge. Hope they open for dinner. Their croissants are the best in town

Mediocre bakery goods. Chocolate cakes are bland and the chocolate buttercream frosting is tasteless. It’s just oil in your mouth. Cakes are very dry and crumbly, I’ve never had a good cake from here and I’ve had many of them. Pastries and breads are often dry and over baked. Not much flavor in the danish dough. The price is not worth the quality. The potatoes in the burritos are never fully cooked and the burritos are either bland or very salty or even sour. Beans in bean burritos are often undercooked as well. There’s only a few good menu items in the cafe, the others are mediocre. Again, not worth the price. The only good things are the pies and some tea breads. Very disappointed. Doesn’t live up to the hype.

One of the best and most consistent brunches we have had anywhere, one of the pleasure of enjoying their brunch is doing so while you watch their master bakers prepare the sweets for the front side of their shop.

Chocolate Maven is one of our favorite places for breakfast. As vegans, their menu is perfect for us. Most of the items can be made vegan, and the dishes are excellent. Also, all of the staff are very nice and helpful. We like to bring out-of-town visitors here, not only for the delicious cuisine, but also the unique opportunity to view the chefs making bakery items in the ultra-spotless and impressive kitchen. We are very grateful to the owners for providing a consistent dining experience.

I really wanted to love the Chocolate Maven but unfortunately, I just liked it. It was totally okay. I had the Huevos Rancheros for my meal. It should have been served with a spoon because it looked more like Huevos Rancheros Soup. It was the blandest and most boring Huevos Rancheros I have ever eaten. There was little to no care about this meal and it showed. I then ordered a Chocolate Croissant to finish off the meal. That croissant was the densest croissant I have ever eaten in my life. I'm not one to ever eat half of a croissant and quit but I had to or bad things would have happened. Outside of the food, the service was fantastic and they were super nice and accommodating. It's not their fault that the food isn't great. I hope the back of the house picks up their game!

The place is quaint and cute and you can see the people making the pastries behind a window. So Cool! The service was lovely and the food was even more amazing. The chilaquiles were delicious! And the pastries were perfection. The most beautiful vanilla cupcake with a rose on top. Wow! $4 croissants were delish. I had never been despite hashing lived here for a long time. But now it's a favorite.

Just wow. Would not have normally considered a place like this for lunch. It came here on a recommendation, and I was not disappointed. The service was kind and courteous. I had their Reuben, Rosemary Fries, and Belgian Chocolate Cake. A serving size was on the large end. It filled you up, but didn't bust your belt. The food was favorable and delicious. Though I was not the only one seated in the restaurant, it felt very intimate. They were very thoughtful in the decor..I appreciated the wood molding. It has been added into my recommendations list. I will be coming back...for sure.

Wonderful pastry and desserts….fantastic lunch options. Everything was great….we will be back!
