So disappointed with Cattle Baron. I’ve never had to leave a restaurant because of service (or lack there of), but we were not even acknowledged for 30 minutes after being sat at our table. I understand being short staffed, I’ve been a server and a bartender…. But to have a customer from another table get up and ask if he could get us something to drink was embarrassing for the establishment. When we left I let the hostess know why we were leaving, however, she wouldn’t even look at me and said nothing. So sad because I used to love this place

Ordered to go and was given a chicken fried steak so mushy I thought it was mashed potatoes

The food was amazing. Service was great. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was one of the cooks dropped the F bomb loud enough for everyone at the salad bar to hear. I am old and just don’t appreciate foul language when I am dining in a nice place.

Meh. Best part of the meal was our waitress Natasha and even she was tired and ready to call it a night. We ordered a chicken dish that was practically dehydrated like chicken jerky. The bacon was also like black cooked burnt beyond burnt. You can see in the picture we requested new bacon in comparison to the bacon they served us. There's a cute little chart on the menu that shows what the meat should look like according to how you requested to be cooked, but apparently they don't have the same chart for the cooks because we ordered a medium steak and it came out well done to say the least. Also the bread they brought to the table was so stale. Even the second attempt on our steak was medium well and not well done. Overall we didn't go hungry but for $70 I won't be back. Also avoid the wontons at all cost, they look and sound good but hours weren't edible. Literally tasted like greasy canned chicken with some Chinese spices ?

Very friendly staff. Great service. Tried their chicken fried steak. Very disappointing. Coating was falling off, very greasy and the meat was very tough. Sent it back. Had a 6 oz prime rib instead. Delicious. Both were similar in price. Quite a surprise as the chicken fried steak was so very badly prepared. Excellent peach cobbler! Awesome salad bar as well.

Came here based on a local recommendation for the green Chili wontons. When we arrived they seemed very slow so we decided to sit at the bar and talk with the bartender. She was very nice, but did seem more interested in talking to her coworkers - no big deal! Like I said. They were slow on a weeknight. I will say though, those wontons? Definitely seemed frozen to me and didn’t have nearly the amount of flavor I was expecting. While we were there I realized it was a chain and suddenly the run down bar made more sense. We left after that one app, I don’t think we would come back.

I had the New Mexico Steak that was covered in green Chile pepper ... It was Great.. Kids had the chicken tenders

Absolutely no wait for two. We were immediately seated at a table for 6 or 8. The waitress was disinterested. My wife ordered a Barron Steak medium and it came out a well done, no pink. Her loaded baked potato had nothing on it. We were given servings of butter and sour cream, but I ended up getting things from the salad bar to complete it: bacon, cheese etc. Some of the salad bar plates were hot, meaning just cleaned, but are you supposed to pick through till you get a cold one? My dessert Jello and pudding melted on the plate making a mess. Our waitress hovered, as if rushing us out, but the restaurant was clearly not busy. Not a recommendation. Not worth the higher bill.

This restaurant had wonderful food and service. Plain and simply put? we ate here while we were visiting the alien sight of Roswell.

Was passing though Roswell and had this place recommended, it was awesome! Love the atmosphere of the place. Salad bar is fabulous! Ribeye Steak was good! Chicken fry was big enough for two!
