Popeye's chicken was hot, fresh and delicious. However, we placed our orders quickly and knew what we wanted to buy. People kept being served while we set and waited....and waited. We finally had to ask for the our order at the counter. The counter servers put it together and hand it to us. The 4 piece chicken meal did not have the biscuits and the chicken nuggets my grandson order were cold. They change the cole slaw recipe as well. The first time we ordered the slaw a couple of months ago it was fresh and very good. This time it was very sweet with to much mayo. ?
After placing a mobile order I made my way to this location on Southern. Went through the drive though and was asked if I’m ok waiting 12 minutes on the chicken while they cook it… which I was fine with. I was asked to go park in a spot and they’ll bring my food out. After 25 minutes I asked my daughter to go inside and ask for the order. The response she got was “I don’t know how much longer”. So I went inside and was shocked by the attitude of this store’s employees. Not a single one them of them seemed to have a care in the world. I was told again the chicken is still being cooked. I made them aware it’s been 30 minutes already waiting on my order. Since it was a mobile order, I had to call customer service to get my money back after leaving without food. I’m not sure who manages this location, but they should be ashamed of themselves.
Normally I love this place. Today I was given old chicken, shrimp, fries and sides. Forgot my sauces (they have never done this) and my “punch” was water with a slight taste of punch. This is worse since they were not busy at all and seemed to be fully staffed as I noticed several Popeyes employees standing around. Order #56 today if any managers want to know where things went down…
Ordered the chicken nugget meal, chicken was half cooked (cold) and pretty much tasteless. I've gone to other locations and didn't have a problem and had ordered a chicken sandwich and tenders. Sadly, the only good thing about Popeyes is their biscuits, the rest has gone downhill. Giving it two stars because at least the other location near me tries, and the popcorn shrimp is good, this one couldn't care less, and often gets the orders wrong, forgets sauces or slops everything together. Hire a better crew, please.
Love Popeyes Chicken. Eaten in New Mexico and Arizona. Great food. But, Popeyes at 4100 Southern Blvd, Rio Rancho, New Mexico is terrible. Tried to use the "tell Popeyes" review, but the kid behind the counter gave me an order and not a receipt. So, need to warn people here.One, kid behind the counter could not be understood. Mumbled.Two, order was messed up. Got spicy when I ordered mild (both meals)Three, Manager slovenly and had a bad attitude. Checked the order to see if I has asked for spicy or mild. Then replaced the order with the smallest pieces he could find and pushed it over to me. I looked down and there appeared to be only one cold slaw. When I asked him about it, he dug the other one from underneath and made a jester like I was stupid. Can't believe Popeyes has an employee like this.... much less a manager. Heard him later yell to customers that there would be a 20 minute wait if they wanted mild.Chicken was way undercooked on both orders. Very disappointed.I should have paid attention to the other reviews. But, from now on, I will drive the. extra miles to the Popeyes on Coors near the mall.Service and chicken was disgusting. Manager should be fired.
Got my food rather quickly and the staff was friendly enough. But I got 2 Spicy chicken sandwiches And they put the smallest amount of hot sauce they possibly couldTo the point it's not even really a spicy chicken sandwich. I have had popeye's spicy chicken sandwich before and this was not the normal but this is the 1st time I've been to this location.
Took quite some time to get my food. When I got to the window, and after I paid, the staff informed me that they could not complete the order I requested. They offered a substitution, but didn't give me the option to wait until a fresh batch was made in order to fulfill the order I paid for. The staff was friendly, I just think it could've been handled better.
It's hard or perhaps unfair to judge this fast food business, new to Rio Rancho, that is having to deal with the labor shortage and the chicken shortage simultaneously.But here goes- we've been twice, during "dinner" hours. Both times they were overwhelmed with the amount of customers. From the pick-up window the view inside was chaos, employees running everywhere and/or standing motionless and no one seemed know what they were doing. Both times we had ordered online and gave them about 45 minutes lead time before arriving, to no avail. The order hadn't even been started, or even been noticed. (They found it after an urgent search on an unattended computer screen off to the side.) The girl wanted us to "pull forward" and said the wait wouldn't be long, maybe "10 or 15 minutes". This time I said no, I'd wait at the window.A real panicked rush ensued to start the order as the line behind us grew even longer. Pretty soon it did arrive and we checked it thoroughly. It was all there butwhen we got home we found the quality of the order to be less than expected based on our previous visits to a different store in Albuquerque.Plus, no additional points toward our next purchase have been added to our account as of now.We've decided not to return until there's no more chicken shortage, or the pandemic is over, or Russia stops the invasion, or labor is sufficient again.
Got two kids meals and a chicken tender meal. Ordered an extra side and they had my side missing my kids meal had only fries in the bag in one of the meals. And they didn’t add no sauce that I asked for. So I called them and they would not answer the phone. I called them about 7 times in a row and no one ever picked up the phone. So I decided to drive all the way back to this location and they refused to give me my side because they said it should have been in my bag which it wasn’t. They barely gave me my kids meal chicken that they didn’t put in there because they saw my kids start crying that he didn’t get his chicken. Very poor customer service and very rude. They didn’t care and it showed. Had high expectations for this location since they just opened this location but it was really bad customer service.
By far the worst Popeyes location I have ever been too. This is the second time in a row where the seemingly forgot the biscuit. My friend da have also had the same issue. Look at what they gave me for my sides!!! I order the Mac n cheese separately and this is what I got. Half a serving of burnt Mac n cheese! Also, look at the serving of mashed potatoes. This isn’t even a full serving! By the way, make sure you check you chicken count. I ordered an 8 piece and I got 6 with two pieces of fried batter.
