Great Atmosphere, Great Server & Delicious Food!!

Best fish! Best bar and brewery! Best staff! Best atmosphere! Our favorite place!

This was an ok place, but a bit pricey for the quality. The calamari appetizer had maybe 10 pieces of calamari. The plate was filled with breaded onion and green chili. All of it was good, but $14 was too much for such little calamari. I had the ribeye and my wife had one if the sandwiches. Again, both the main pieces were good, but the home fries were way overcooked, almost black. My actual question was about the steak. It did not have the normal marble of a ribeye nor the fat strip. It felt like eating a sirloin steak. I have doubts that it was a ribeye based on my experience of cooking and eating ribeye steaks. If this was a ribeye, it was the first of it's kind for me as it was lean and again had the texture of a sirloin. Oh well. The place is beautiful, the waitress was very good, and menu is kind of small which can be a relief from the 5-6 page menus of some places. I would go again, but probably not very often.

We ate in the restaurant on a Tuesday evening. The menu was substantial, the happy hour food specials were excellent value. Being a visitor to New Mexico, I loved the variety of green chili items (quesadilla, lasagna, soup, beer, chicken dishes). Service was very prompt, and the manager visited twice to see how we were doing. It wasn’t too busy, and the spacing between tables was adequate.

This was a horrid dinning experience. I ordered the meat loaf which was presented very nicely. The meat loaf was placed on a bed of mashed potatoes and covered with crispy onions, asparagus, and gravy. All was well until I tasted the meat loaf. It was like they emptied an entire salt shaker on it. I had my friend taste it and he agreed it was quite salty. I waited for the waitress but we only saw her when she took our order and brought our check. No drink refills or checking on us. When she did bring our check she asked if I wanted a takeout box for my hardly touched meal. One would think that was a hint that the meal wasn’t satisfactory. I let her know the meat was extremely salty but she ignored me and walked away. My first and last time I will ever eat there.

Management is rude and the kitchen staff can’t seem to figure out steak temperatures

Fish and chips were excellent, not overcooked, fries seasoned perfectly. His beer was an IPA and met expectations. Valerie and Daniel were very attentive. I'm a wuss with beer and his suggestion for wheat beer with an orange slice was super - and he brought me a couple samples before I chose. I had the chicken lasagna, also very good and filling! Finished with a creme brulee which was good.

We are passing through town & decided to stop in. Thank goodness for the open sign on the building otherwise I wouldn't have looked twice. The atmosphere is relaxing and dimmed, loved the decor and layout. Daniel was our bartender today and we are satisfied with the experience. Great conversation, speedy service and not to mention handsome (for the ladies?). We ordered two bowls of soup, the hatch Chile and the feature soup was hearty beef. Both were *chef kiss*, especially the hatch chile soup omg must try if you like spicy flavor. I wouldn't get bored eating that everyday. I tried the fish and chips and felt like I was disrespecting Chef Ryan's skills by adding Tabasco to my fish ? everything was so good, I'm ready for a nap now. I also had samples of the beer and liked the German Pilsner. I would stop by again next time we are passing through town.

Please note: a shortage of the quick testing kits in the area, has been forcing everyone to use the lab test. Of course that means the labs are backed up as well. This has been forcing extended quarantine periods for any known contacts, until the results come back in 24hrs but that sometimes goes 2, 3 or 4days in which those employees can't return to work. We've been here twice. The first time was just my wife and I. This past Sunday we had a group of 15, (4 younger kids). The food has been great, I really enjoyed the French Onion Soup that first visit & my burger was good: my wife enjoyed her meal as well and the service was very good. This past weekend, the service was very slow but, all of our food came out at the same time and we were celebrating my step-sons' 40th birthday with family so the wait wasn't so bad.Everyone enjoyed their food, my Belgium Waffle was very good and I don't believe their were any under/over cooked or missed menu items. The "1" server was very, "professional," and wouldn't be surprised if it was a manager or owner filling-in because of a lack of available rapid tests and employee quarantines.Taken in context, I still have to give them the 5 stars.
