I am so disappointed with our experience tonight. Husband and mine first time trying, the menu is great, & the decor/overall vibe is super inviting. We ordered calamari bites to start which came out pretty quick and were very hot and super good. Unfortunately after that is just disappointing. We waited over an hour for our entrees. We both ordered 3 tacos w/fries. Waitress kept coming by and saying it would be right out. Whatever no big deal, seems like a mistake was made but it happens. Little frustrating when everyone around us that came in after us was getting served before us, but we didn’t complain. When we finally got our food everything was cold. Like grossly cold. All the cheese on my tacos had coagulated together, it did not look nearly as appetizing as the food around us that had obviously hot cheese on their plate. I ate one taco but that’s all I could do. The French fries had ketchup that was already dried. Waitress came by to ask how everything was, I said it was cold, it’s obviously been sitting for awhile, the cheese is coagulated. She said she’ll talk to the kitchen. Then returns to say they can remake the food but their backed up so it will be a while lol. No thanks, just bring us the check we’ve already waited over an hour for cold food. Charged us the full amount, no mention of comping anything. There was obviously a huge mistake made, but it didn’t even seem worth talking to the waitress to figure something out, and was honestly frustrating that she served us food that looked like that in the first place and had no other options other than waiting another hour for it to be remade. Then had to pay full price for cold food. It really sucks because everyone else’s food around us looked really good! Super disappointed.
Nice little restaurant. Our waitress was friendly. The food was delicious, if you haven't tried it you need to. We will definitely be back!
You must try if you’re ever in the area! The coconut horchata was so delicious and perfectly sweetened. I had the chori-piña tacos and the tuna tostada as well and oh my so yummy. I literally went back a second time the following day to enjoy the food. I’m traveling through the area but will make sure to always stop by here because it’s that good!
Came in for a dinner date with my husband and I was blown away. The atmosphere is so inviting and the fish taco holy moly you don't taste great quality fish tacos like that here in NM and theirs were amazing!! They were so delicious I was licking my fingers (annoying my husband as he hates when I do that). I had a bite of my husband's shrimp tacos and caviche tostada which ALSO were delightful BUT my heart was set on the fish tacos. They were tasteful and soft. The sauce gave it a little kick of spicy and I loved it being topped with pineapple (my fav). We will definitely we returning maybe do the outside patio.
Great new place to get your taco fix in Las Cruces! Fresh fare and friendly proprietors and fun atmosphere. A focus on seafood. I had a combination of tacos that came with fries that were hot and fresh. . The shrimp and chorizo taco was fantastic!! Good job Tacos and Shell-ah's. Definitely recommend. I'll be visiting again soon. See you there! The new wall art is great.
With the over abundance of Mexican style restaurants in this city, this one was a nice change of pace. Tacos and tostadas a bit different in size and flavor that is typical in LC. I like that plates come with fries instead of the usual chips. The drinks were refreshing and tasty and the staff was friendly. Will definitely be coming back to try something else

Wow!!! Saw a friend post about this place saying it was amazing. Couldn't wait to try for myself. Finally had the opportunity this weekend. The ambience is nice and the staff was polite and attentive. The food. Wow... Definitely something new and different, which has been much needed in this area. I can't wait to go back!!!
Another wonderful experience! The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. We ordered asada tacos along with their wonderful tea. The tacos were even better than last time. The veggies were fresh and we left pleasantly full. I highly recommend this restaurant!
