The flavors were amazing. I had the Chile's Nogada. The sauce was light and flavorful. The pomegranate seeds were a wonderful surprise in each bite. We shared 4 different t dishes and loved them all. What a delightful evening. Prices were very reasonable. Double surprise. Thanks. We will back

After being a consistent customer for the past year, just experienced the worse service ever. Showed up at 11am with only a few customers in the restaurant. We waited a while to get our drinks, to get our chips and get our order taken. At 12:15 pm we asked when our order would be ready, and it still had 15 minutes to go. When we told staff we were leaving, they still charged us for the drinks (only coffee and tea) with no conversation about what happened or what the delay was. Other people that had walked in 30-45 minutes after us had already been served. Very, very disappointed with the service or therefore lack of service. Will not be going back and will not be recommending this place to anyone. If I could less than one star, I would.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening tonight. Our guacamole, black bean and tostada appetizer was a perfect beginning to a lovely meal. The Pecan Salmon was delicious! My husband enjoyed his tampiqueña steak as well. We have been frequenting this locally owned restaurant for years and have always had a wonderful experience. The staff has always been friendly, accommodating and professional. The food and service are second to none! Easy to rate Paisano Cafe with five stars!

Service a bit slow but food better than average. Wraps are good, pasta too. My favorite so far is portobello mushroom burger. Outstanding. Also, they should bottle and sell chili salsa they serve w/ tortilla chips

We have liked coming to this Mesilla restaurant, which is located on development complex me route to the Mesilla Plaza, for its unique Mexican entrees even though my partner is not a fan of Mexican cuisine. Our last visit on a Sunday between lunch and dinner service certainly, in my opinion, is indicative of restaurant having problems matching supplies with decreased customers. For example, our fivesome shared a guacamole appetizer, but unlike most instances, the dip was more plentiful than the chips, so we asked for more chips. They had run out and dinner service had not started. So, we settled for 2 flour and corn tortilla and we were charged $1+ for each tortilla. While we usually do not get cocktails, we tried their margaritas and sangria. Like casual dining chain restaurants their pours of alcohol was reduced. That is, if there was alcohol in either beverage it wad not enough for your tastebuds to notice. On the positive side diners enjoyed their soups, greek salad, veggie lasagna, and quecas. But unfortunately this restaurant, though having survived the pandemic, is certainly experiening supply and demand problems.

Food was fair. Server was uninformed. They didn’t have the first wine I ordered. They didn’t have the dessert I ordered.

Oh. My. Goodness. This may very easily become my favorite restaurant here. So many places here are "New Mexican Mexican" restaurants. This isn't a bad thing, but it's not truly Mexican. Paisano Cafe truly is. Rice that's not Spanish rice. Mole....oh my the mole. The ONLY thing I would change is to not grill the chicken breast. I would boil it or bake it or even pan fry it myself. The only reason I say that is the char flavor of grilling the chicken slightly overpowers the mole. Other than that, I want one of everything on this menu and can't wait to go back for more.

Believe me when I say, the food here is incredible. We have been here a few times now and we haven't had a bad dish yet. Thee molè sauce is our favorite. Check this place out!!

We stopped in for lunch about 1:30 in the afternoon (well before their 3:00 pm closing). Hardly anyone was there, and we were seated right away. The waiter told us that there were no chips and salsa. I asked for a taste of the by-the-glass Tempranillo, and it was brought to me in a Jello-shot cup; but at least the wine was good. The Mole Poblano was the color of milk chocolate and tasteless and the Enmoladas were lukewarm, as was the rest of my food. My husband's order was incorrect, and he had to ask twice for red sauce (having received green sauce the first time), and twice for Pico de Gallo, only to be told that it wasn't ready. We finally got some Pico, and it did add a little flavor to the food. The fad of not writing down orders is not a good one, especially when the server is young and seemingly untrained. For the first time ever, we tipped only 10%.

My wife and I enjoyed a mid-afternoon lunch at Paisano's this week. It was our first visit, and we very much enjoyed the food. There are many restaurants in Las Cruces that serve Mexican food, but this is one where the dishes actually reminded us of México. While looking at the menu, we enjoyed some of the best totopos in Las Cruces with a good salsa. The salsa was only somewhat picante, but we both liked the flavor. We both ordered the enmoladas, which came with frijoles enteros and good arroz. I ordered my dish with pipan and my wife ordered mole negro. Both were delicious. We are already planning to return for another lunch to try some other dishes.
