The price for chicken nuggets went up by a lot. I get it, everything is getting expensive, but the size of the nuggets were like chik fil a. The reason I loved Grandys is because their nuggets were a good size. But for $26 for a 20 piece family meal and tiny nuggets, we're moving on. Last week I got a 10 piece and they were not this small.
I am sad to say , In the past I have enjoyed the food , can't say that for the service , the bad part is the GM when giving me my food , she had more attitude, then the cashier, I'm just very glad they didn't mess with the food , I don't plan on going back !!!
They were out of catfish, so we gotThe 10 piece shrimp platter with seasoned green beans and coleslaw and a dinner roll (the rolls were missing when we got home)☹. We enjoyed the meal, but I think the shrimp were from frozen, so not like freshly battered and deep fried. Still, pretty good for $10 a meal with 2 sides and maybe a roll, if you're good. We're going back and try their catfish, but will call ahead. They have a good size menu including chicken and sandwiches and more. Check their website.
Always love their chicken nuggets, not chicken strips, but nuggets. Catfish is also delicious. You do need to taste their roast beef though. It is absolutely delicious. I have to admit it was quite a surprise. I did not expect it to be good at all.
I don’t know what’s going on with Grandy’s. But me and my 86 yr old grandmother loved this place lately they have not had anything in stock. I’ve noticed a lot of my friends say the same thing. There is one gentleman there that is very friendly and I always see him working hard. I caught his name Demetrius and he always tries to make our experience better. I thank him but we won’t be back. After so many years it’s sad what’s going on.??
I went last night to find that the dining room was still closed, only drive thru was open. Then to wait about 10 minutes to order, to find out that they had a shortage, of food orders not available due to delivery issues supposedly.No wonder they are going broke, and close to shutting down for good. I had to go somewhere else to satisfy good cooking that Grandys was at one time.I am so disappointed with them not putting signs of all the thing not available. I use to love eating at Grandys. They need to get on the ball with the delivery guys, or get a better delivery service.They need to hire better managers, supervisors, and a work crew that has some common sense.I hope they never shut down. Good food, correction excellent food. Customer service was great. Did wait 3 to 5 min to get served but they prob had short staff but when I was served it was great customer experience. It's refreshing. I have been coming to grandma since I was 10 and I'm 34 . I have experience not pleasant service but this happened less then few times and I think it was with prior management which that person is no longer here
Been wanting a chance to tell my story. Back when they had 3 eggs, 3 sausage or bacon, 3 pancakes on menu, I ordered at window got a tiny scoop of scrambled egg, not even one egg. Came back some time later, went in to order same, maybe got a little over one egg but not even two. Had same employee both times, told her about before and then, said that's how much egg they give. I have only been back once when a friend invited me out. The cole slaw was inedible. But dinner was good. Not a good place for handicapped to go unless you have someone to come along and help you, as employees don't. That's fine, now that I know not to return.
Sorry to have to post this. Today, February 3rd, 2022, restaurant not open @ 11:00am. Opened @ 12:00 noon.. Sorry...chicken was way over cooked, cashier wanted me to sign the dirty germed screen with my finger for credit without first sanitizing the screen.. I ordered a hot apple pie, she threw it on the tray pre prepared, and, it was cold. I sat down, mashed potatoes were cold. Sad. Did not enjoy. So sad. Please do better. I know times are hard. But, please try to do better than you did today. ?
Huge thanks to Dee and the staff @ Grandy's. Stopped in for the first time recently. Had take out. We got home and realized we didn't get our cinnamon rolls. Went back and talked to Dee. She took care of us immediately. She made a fresh pan for us, no questions. Good food, great customer service!
