Burgers and cheese curds good…Disappointing “hott” Carmel sundaes and customer service :/. Barely any Carmel drizzle on the sundae so I asked for more. Carmel was cold. The employee making the sundaes told me the machine was down. However, this was not mentioned before I paid. I would have appreciated the heads up before I spent more money. I tried talking to the other employee who took my the order but didn’t pay much attention. I visited this location about 8:30 pm on 6/30.
Came here and ordered a side of cheese fries, when my order was called out I went to the counter and they gave me the rest of my order, but no cheese fries. Went back to the counter and asked for my cheese fries with my receipt. The employee told me they forgot to make them. Frustrating. When my cheese fries finally came out the employee tells me they were out of cheese and used shredded cheddar cheese instead. Ok. I open the box and see not even melted cheese! So frustrating! They couldn’t melt the cheese? So much for my graduation night should’ve went somewhere else so disappointing. Didn’t even get offered a discount or anything. Wow.
I am absolutely in love with their patty melt! Fries are original and I always get their dipping sauce. I little pricey but worth it. Don't forget to try the custard. Turtle is my favorite ?
First-timers to Freddy's and we will return! Friendly employees, spotlessly clean restaurant and the burgers were made with care, ensuring every bite taken has each topping in that bite instead of other places that carelessly place toppings randomly and usually to one side of the burger. Oh, and french-fry overload...plenty of them and fried up crisp and golden brown! Next time, we will be trying the frozen custard.
Great service and the food and custard specifically was really good. There wad a guy with colored hair who kept making sure we had all our needs met and checking in on us. All together great experience
I ordered a veggie burger, and though I appreciate the fact that there’s vegetarian options in town, I have to say the sandwich had absolutely no structural integrity. Perhaps this was my own fault because I added green chile to said burger (which tends to be slippery) and I also drove around for 15 minutes before getting home to eat it. Regardless, when I opened the box and picked up the sandwich, I watched in horror as all of its insides slid out into my hands, coating them with its life fluid. I knew the only way to end its suffering would be to eat it as quick as possible, so I did so relentlessly, picking up all of the pieces with my fingers like some sort of ruthless animal. Attached is a photo of the aftermath (don’t look if you’re sensitive), please say your prayers for our fallen brother. Overall though, the sandwich tasted okay and the guy who took my order was extremely polite. Wish it didn’t cost so much cause I’m a broke college kid so I’ll probably just make my own veggie burger next time.
Bacon Double Steak burger with hot and crisp cheese curds tastes wonderful. The Spicy Chicken sandwich was juicy and fried perfectly, just needs a bit more spice. A Turtle Sundae made it perfect with pecans and caramel over custard. Would live on this if I could!
Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and food tastes great usually. However unfortunately my concretes both contained shreds of plastic in them (see photo). I picked out about 5 so far, but more are appearing as I dissect the custard.
I'm extremely picky when it comes to hamburger joints. Freddy's beef patties are the best fast food patties in town, infact, its the only place I'll eat a hamburger from! Staff is usually pretty nice.
Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Las Cruses on Telshor Blvd is a must experience for families that love the old diner experience. We have visited a location in Dallas twice before and the visit in Las Cruses was just as steller. The food is awesome, especially the fries, cheese sauce and cheese curds, the diner and bathrooms were clean and the staff was friendly. Come make this place a regular experience for family outings.
