First time there I ask if potatoes were cooked in the ground beef for tacos, because of my allergy, they said yes, and looked sad for me. I asked if they could cook some without potatoes for a taco plate, and they said yes with smiles !! Beautiful, delicious tacos with lots of cheese, right amount of lettuce and tomato, had to ask for chopped onion, no problem, no extra charge for special cooked beef or onions. Excellent salsa !! Iced tea w/lemon excellent. Best time I ever had anywhere.
I ordered a burger that was awful. The meat was dry and tough. My wife ordered a Mexican food combination plate, she said it was average, not worth returning for. When I told the server we weren't too satisfied, I thought she might offer a small discount or something, but nothing. We probably won't be back.
Nice restaurant, food was good, service was quick. Very good overall.
I visted for a meeting with a party of 7 and ordered a soft drink and the Folded Taco Plate. You have the choice of ground beef, shredded beef or chicken. The tacos were great. It came with rice and beans. Everything was good. However, I thought the beans and rice were a tad underspiced but that might be the way they prepare them so patrons can adjust the seasoning to their taste. The service was good and they were moderately busy.Overall, it was a pleasant experience.
This restaurant was a pleasant sirprise! After being on a drivi g trip for a few days now it was a welcome change to NOT eat fast food. I ordered the create your own combo. So every Mexican restaurant that I have ever been to I have to order the chile rellenos and an enchilada. There chile relleno is inmy all time top 3! It was amazing. They covered my enchiladas and relleno with their homemade red chile. There red and green chile is outstanding. Their homemade chips and salsa were also pretty impressive. They don't have a "traditional" sit at bar but you can get beer, wine and margaritas. I had 2 yummy margaritas! I wish I lived here so I could come back and try the rest of the menu. This is a great stop off the I-10
Seriously stop here just for the salsa. We stopped here as we passed thru town. They charge for additional rounds of chips and salsa, but it was so good I didn't mind paying for it all. The rest of the meal was okay. Not great not bad either. Would eat here again if we were local. Service was good, definitely better than average.
Good food, Good portions. Staff untrained?
Pretty good. First time there and I'll go back again
Good was great a little pricey but very good and great service over All
If you're going to eat at Chilitos, go to the one on Foothills! Do not go to the one on Valley! I had the taco plate several times at the one on Foothills, and it was always good. They gave me a choice of hard or soft shell, and they were large tacos, packed with meat, and very tasty! At the one on Valley they have the same menu, same prices, but they used the cheap hard shells that you would get at a fast food place, and literally a tiny piece of meat in each taco! When he dropped off my plate I looked at it and said "they're so small! The other Chilitos has very large tacos that have plenty of meat in them. These look so sad and pathetic." ? Then I asked for a glass of Chardonnay wine, but he said they didn't have any. All they had was Cabernet. I told him that I was very disappointed in my experience there and will never go back there again. I will just stick with the other Chilitos on Foothills. They ended up taking care of my tab, which I appreciated, but I still will never go back there again. Stick with Foothills Chilitos! They're great, and I have always had a good dining experience with them!!
