So sorry!! From. What I recalled the “New Mexico “ Baca” family name depicted quality and respect!!! What happened????!!! Beans were tasteless and cold, enchiladas were hard and cheese not melted, rice ugh!!! Beef “ was that beef?? Taco no flavor!!! Baca if you respect your Gallup clientele and community—please upgrade your quality and flavor!! You owe it to them. Honestly we left our food intact and only enjoyed your tortillas and butter hmm— Tortillas were cold-hence butter never melted!! Sorry for this review. Don’t understand what the hype is!! I am so sorry to give you a negative review!! Hope you take this review seriously. Service was ok! Oh. Bathrooms were good too!!!!! Please work on improving your taste in good!!!!!! I regret not taking pictures of the food we didn’t eat!!!
This is my first time eating breakfast here at Don Diego's Restaurant. We arrived and it was sorta busy.we were seated ,ordered simple breakfast. They only have white,wheat bread. I wanted sour dough bread but,none. Everyone is 6 ft.apart the Atmosphere is comfortable ,music sounded great ?..old school. I definitely coming back..stop on in and enjoy.
Yes, I always love to eat here with my mom. She loves the Enchilada dish. We have been Isolating ourselves due to the Pandemic for nearly 3-Years and glad, a lot of business re-open. It was a scary situation we all had to experience. and Sadly to say,?? we all lost love ones because of this virus.??But we drive out from Arizona three times a month and to get our essential needs and we don't have a restaurant that serves real mexican food, well at least made from scraps.??The service is Top Notch Professional and their Food is always Fresh , Hot, very Delicious. ? The waitresses are very polite and courteous..most importantly they always have that beautiful smile on, which makes the atmosphere more welcoming. Great Job and Thank You Staff for being you. ?️?❤️??
Usually a good place to eat and I’ve never had any issues before, but my last experience was terrible! They were pretty busy and there was a wait time for our table which is no issues but upon seating us, we were assigned a waiter who seemed pretty tense and agitated. Then the salsa we were served tasted a bit sour. We brought this issue up with our waiter and they seemingly brushed our concern aside and walked away. Then my son who was drinking his iced tea saw what appeared to be a hair in his beverage. We waited for our waiter to return to address our issues but after waiting about 15 minutes we asked another server and he took the items away. Shortly after, two individuals appeared and did not apologize or try to remedy the issue. They stated the salsa could not be sour as “their sister just ate some” and that it was not hair in the tea. This was inexcusable! Their sister is not being served salsa that to my personal standard tasted sour or has hair in their tea. I am pretty upset they dismissed our experiences and tried to enforce their own experiences on us. All they had to do was apologize and replace the items! We did not expect to be compensated or reimbursed for our items. So we walked out and did not return. I will not be eating at this establishment again and i do hope they up their standards in the future.

Had enchiladas w/ green sauce. Excellent service and fast. Located west end of Gallup. Sopapillas a must have.
Food is usually delicious however, the waitress was rude & impatient. The restaurant need to provide better customer service and show compassion to our elders.On 2/5, my dad wanted to go to Don’s for my B Day. We confirmed with the waitress we’re ready to order. My 79 year old dad was inquired about recommendations of soft foods. The waitress suggested enchiladas. She then walked off and stated, “Maybe another minute.” That was her second time to our table. I was puzzled and confused as no one ever walked away while in the middle of placing an order. After complaining about her rude service, we got a different waitress.Thereafter, the service was not friendly. Other families were being yelled at by this same lady. While talking to her manager, she intervened our conversation and spoke over the manager. Thereafter, other service people there kept looking over to our table. We did nothing wrong. We will never go back there ever! My dad deserves better respect than this.
So good! Delicious food, fast service - exactly what we needed after a long day on the road. We had the stuffed sopapillas, steak and cheese tacos, and chips and salsa - all of it was perfect. Worth the stop.

The food was terrible and didn't taste right and the staff were being judgemental towards me and my son and when something happens between me and my son these people are snitches on calling the police because these GALLUP NM people are rude and inconsiderate will turn against for me and the family will never eat at this restaurant ever again because of this incident and yet we ate had been customers for a long time and not its time to other places because this place turned against me and my family most of the time I don't support rude inconsiderate people in GALLUP NM area!!!!! Will be gladly to take my business elsewhere if the staff and the way preparing of the food doesn't want to be professional and I called there to order my food got hung up on yep will take my business elsewhere for sure !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
