I just wanted to give a big "THANK YOU!" to Applebee's Grill + Bar in Gallup for successfully cleaning out my colon after my recent visit to your restaurant. I'd been on a week long road trip and you know how being away from your throne at home can get you 'backed up' after a few days. About 4 hours after consuming your Classic Broccoli Chicken Alfredo I was glued to the toilet in my motel bathroom, just purging and purging the night away. Also, the bread sticks were legit.
Recommendation to the parent company and franchise owner: just close this location until you can figure out how to run a restaurant. The current situation is embarrassing to the brand. The hostess told everyone walking in it was a 1-2 hour wait. The restaurant was 1/3 sat with people. It was very apparent they just didn't want to help people today. There was a seat at the bar so I went and gave that a shot. There were 4 women working the bar. They were doing other things than helping the customers at the bar. Maybe doing to gos? Drinks for the sat tables? Not sure. I sat there for 10 min and then left.
The food was really good we ordered the bourbon street chicken and shrimp
The service was slow due to not having enough servers. Our server was friendly but got behind helping out others, so we waited quite a bit for our drinks and food. Not knocking the staff, as they were doing the best they could. Waited 15 mins to get seated even though half the restaurant and bar was empty.
We enjoyed our dinner. We had the original combo apps, steak dinner and chicken and shrimp dinners.
Its been years since i actually walked out of a restaurant. Food comes out. Every last item for every meal is missing ingredients and 2 of them were still frozen. It was weird. We asked for a manager and they never came. So we left. That didn't stop one of the lazy employees from saying "be mad". You know bro, at least i dont work at an Applebee's as a grown man lol.
The food was delicious; however, the waiting period before getting a table seemed to take forever. The service was okay, we waited for our ticket for at least 30 minutes before asking the server for the third time. We paid for the dinner in cash, waited for a bit before leaving. Waiting for the change seemed not worth the stay.
We was happy to eat there.. but unfortunately my husband was unhappy because on his sirloin steak it was nothing but ligiments which he don't like.. so he ordered something different.. the waitress was so nice and hispitalablea to us.. need more of her then the one u see at the entrance.. they disrespectful.. bit all in all we enjoyed the service.. just not the food "sorry"
Short staffed,but waiter was outstanding, food was very good, too bad other help didnt show,makes it hard for other worker he was running his tail off, he was outstanding
I hate writing poor reviews but I had such a horrible experience here with my to go order. We stopped to get some food on our roadtrip. I ordered a steak and unfortunately it was probably one of the worst steaks I've ever had. I think everyone is under so much short staffing lately I don't want to place any blame. But it seemed as though my steak had been cooked before, heated up and then grill marks were added to make It look fresh. I ended up having to use one of my own knives to cut this, my steak was also supposed to be medium-rare. I am unsure what happened, but I hope it was just a mistake! I have included some pictures in my review as reference, I got the 8 Oz sirloin.
