Passing through Farmington and asked a local where to get some quick mexican food. This place is the bomb. The employees were so helpful and very nice. The food was excellent. Tried the Tequitas because that's what we were told were the best. They were good, but the chicken taco and the chicken burrito smothered in green chili sauce were to die for!! I want the recipe for their green chili sauce!! If we ever make it back to Farmington this will be the first place we stop!!
I really don't understand the appeal of this place. When we first moved to Farmington many of my husband's co-workers recommended it to him and he loved it. However for me the taco meat tastes like dog food and lacks much seasoning. I have tried many different items on the menu to see if there was anything I liked and I only cared for their coffee options. For me, and the rest of the family, it's not edible.
Unsure if it was a bad day, but over $8 for two crunchy chicken tacos, did not taste well, I found the shell greasy tasting, and the chicken appeared it was from a can. The sour cream would have been the saving grace, if after paying over a dollar per taco there was any on the taco. Not a pleasant experience unfortunately. My spouse had the combination burrito, and it appeared to be nearly void of beef, or anything other than the beans (maybe change the name to bean burrito)?
1/21/22 I went to Taco Box. Ordered a mexi burger and a shredded beef taco. The employee there suggested I get the combo with 2 shredded beef tacos and a mexi burger since it would be cheaper. How nice total was $7.03. Next day I ordered the same combo total was over $11.00. I asked why it $7.00 yesterday but more today. Employee came back and gave me a total.of over $10.00. Wow. Left went some where else for lunch. I'll never eat there again. My employee are now not allowed to bring Taco Box food into my business.. Not trustworthy. Cheaper to go to a real sit down restaurant.
I've gone to taco box for years and always had good food. Tonight the smothered burritos were dry and didn't even has 2 tbs of green chilli. Very ?

Ordered dinner tonight via phone, when we picked up the food, the lady at the register (manager) and I had a discussion to verify the food order, I had ordered our grandchildren the kids taquita meal, letting her know that they are normally mac & cheese lovers, so if they don’t eat their tequita at least their dad would eat it… got home and the kids had chicken nuggets, I called to let them know that the order was wrong and she immediately blamed it on me saying that no one orders the tequitas for their kids so they assumed that I told them wrong, you should never assume, she also didn’t offer to fix anything, just said they were extremely busy, things have really gone downhill with Taco Box, prices raised and food quality was horrible… Don’t waste your money ?
Quick order done, burritos were good. Never had anything else then taquitos, but good
