We went here for a colleague's birthday. Our service was amazing. I believe her name was Maddie. I ordered the crispy chili relleno grande. It was absolutely amazing and delicious! I also had a classic margarita on the rocks. It was well balanced and yummy!
All of us enjoyed lunch at this friendly and colorful restaurant. Good sized portions and we all came away full. Whether the quesadillas, or the taco and enchilada combo, you can't go wrong. Friendly service too!
Really solid Tex-mex restaurant regardless of location. We'd just spend the weekend in New Mexico eating authentic Mexican. We couldn't wait to eat Leal's for the Tex-Mex at the end of our trip. Consistently good food and service.
Though I haven't lived in Clovis in many years, Leal's is always one of my favorite places to eat. Every time I'm in town I ALWAYS stop for the Stuffed Avocado. The Stuffed Avocado is a large, breaded, fried avocado stuffed with chicken and cheese on a bed of rice and served with beans and a sour cream sauce. If you love avocado, cheese, and chicken, you can't go wrong. I've ordered copy-cat stuffed avocados at countless Mexican restaurants from Houston to Chicago and as far east as Boston and never had one that was anywhere near as good as what Leal's serves. All of the waitresses and waiters I've had have been awesome, kudos to the cooks and servers! Next time I'm visiting family in Clovis, I'll definitely be back.
Not to bad.. Have a nice bar but hardly any bar service. Sign on machine clearly says frozen cocktails and it was on but waiter said no cocktails were available.. Beer tasted a little watered down for some reason.. Its more like a "Colorado" Mexican Food place.. Chili was that chili sauce instead of real chili so that was a let down. But overall not bad
We went here for dinner and it’s super nice and good food. Was a really good place to eat! The service was great they were always on top of things helping out with whatever we needed. The food was really good as well.
I had a great experience. The service was great. Everyone was very polite. Or waiter took good care of us. The food was nothing short of awesome. Portions were large for the price, a great value. I won't pass through town without stopping again.
At best this restaurant is mediocre and I’m being kind in saying so. It’s edible, which is more than most places around it. Definitely won’t repeat.I will say this to ANYONE that is not local to this town or region in general. If you are from the Northeast, Southeast, California, etc you will likely not like ANY of the food here or in cities within driving distance. All of the mom and pop places taste awful, and the franchise locations are plagued with employees who do not take pride in their work, making even safe bet franchise food inedible. I don’t know what it is with this part of New Mexico/Texas but they have not experienced real food so don’t know how bad their food tastes. The only solution if you are new to the region is to COOK your own food. Even if you’re not the best cook, it will taste better than the options available to you. Sorry, it’s true. It took me several months before I realized this. I have yet to find ANYTHING here that I can rely on to eat.
Great food and service! Highly recommend!
Very generous servings and even better prices. The food was delicious! I got the stuffed avocado ?
