Lucy's nachos NEVER disappoint.... affordable and also a lot for your money. I love the atmosphere and the way it is decorated. 130pm is the best time to go to miss the crowd.
Tried this place for first time, wish we hadn’t.Carded in our 60’s, waitress says all of New Mexico checks ID’s but have never been carded in any NM restaurant before. No draft beer, 15 min to get drinks, no water unless you request it. 1hour today get food. Waitress didn’t know how to describe cottage potatoes. Steak good, carnitas bland. Don’t think they know what Mexican food is. Issues with credit card because “PIN number didn’t work”. Yeah, won’t work if you don’t have PIN! “New system” doesn’t work very well. ?????? Won’t be back!
I have been a customer for many, many years....we go way back to the 70's.....The food on the menu was awesome then .....and has not changed .....This is the most authentic mexican food in the entire southeastern part of the great state of New Mexico....!!!! The margarita's are flowing like the fountain of youth....the Tecate beer is ice cold .....and the tacos, enchiladas and burritos are like abuelita used to make.......The staff is the best....If your in town.....Don't miss the opportunity to have the best mexican expierience around.....VIVA LUCY'S....!!!!!
Visiting 7 days for work, first night here the group went to Lucy’s. Got the Santa Fe chicken, it was delicious although the portion of chicken was a bit small, 1 piece, but I didn’t leave hungry. Today (3 days later, and I went back) I got a chicken quesadilla and it could be the best chicken quesadilla I’ve ever had, and it’s a big portion. The medium heat chili adds a nice flavor and heat without being overbearing.
We got food to go. Guacamole was browned, tortillas were hard and very few veggie options. Food was hot and staff was decent (may have had a better experience dining in).
Group of 9 (4 adults and 5 hungry kids) arrived just before 6. We were told we'd be seated in 35-40 minutes. It was over an hour before we were finally taken to a table. We then waited 30 minutes to finally have our server show up with chips and salsa and get a drink order. It was another 30 minutes (8:00) before she came to get our food order. She complained they were having computer issues, but three separate tables seated in the next section were seated after us and eating their dinners before we even had drink orders taken. When the food did finally arrive, it was fine, but the service was the worst I've ever experienced. We had been in once before and had bad service that time too. It is definitely not the restaurant it once was and would never recommend it for a group. They fail every time.
This was the worst Mexican food I've ever had! I cannot believe I ate there and was still charged for chips and salsa! Unbelievable! The meat and beans tasted burned. The relleno was greasy and no sauce on it. Needless to say I won't be back! I'm a restaurant owner and so disappointed.
mediocre food quality along with $8 draft beer makes this a no go Lucy is raping the locals //////////////////////////////
The wait to be seated was unexpectedly quick however the wait between placing our order and being served our meals was nearly an hour. Can’t say they were extra busy. Food and drinks were good nothing to write home about but I will go back.
Foods not good. It’s New Mexican not Mexican. They use the iceberg lettuce from the garnish for their salads? Adams queso is good and drinks are good. A bit dirty. Server was nice.
