Fried pickles were very good. Service can be slow. And prices are higher than some. Would recommend for families and I will return for the fried pickles. The rating is based on service and prices, and the cheeseburger was just ok, no great flavor to speak of. Came on a Sunday evening and they got pretty busy.
Burger was great, but they put SO much salt on the fries they were not edible-and I like salt. Ice cream was a let down. Definitely not worth what you pay. One of the workers was eating his ice cream while helping people (but mostly eating his ice cream instead of helping people-while behind the counter, not in the back or at a table and didn't wash his hands) Kid's meals are $9.50. Kids barely touched their food too because of salt. Wouldn't go back.
Local spot that has a great breakfast burrito. They serve typical burger/shake shop food with specials. They have a solid ice cream selection as well. Everyone is friendly and food was made to order.
I loved the ice cream here. I'm visiting from NC, and this is a cute ace to go on a hot day to cool off. I like how the staff works here and even put hot fudge on my ice cream at my last minute request. If I ever come back to Carlsbad, I'll definitely stop here.
We had dinner and we all enjoyed it. BLT, grilled cheese, chicken strips, and fries. The sandwiches were prepared fresh to order and the strips and fries were, of course, from frozen.We didn't try the ice cream, though it looked good and they were doing a steady business.We were traveling, but most customers appeared to be locals. This is a good sign in my book. Steady repeat customers shows they are doing something right.
Ice cream was very yummy. I got a brownie sundae and fries. The food was very good, staff was friendly, and they got our order out quick. The only weird thing was they didn't heat up the brownie for the sundae, which was weird but still delicious. Outdoor seating is nice too.
The small cheese burger basket is BIG and delicious! Hand scooped ice cream was uummy. Fast, friendly service. This is a popular place but they get your food out quickly and hot!
Food here was simple and tasty. Ice cream was good too. Staff was friendly and capable. Giving it a four because the owners have posted a nasty message on the door about people not wanting to work anymore so they might be short staffed and customers should feel obligated to tip those working behind the counter. Very odd and not appreciated to be told I need to tip. Just pay your people better.
We were visiting from out of state and decided to stop by for a treat for the family. Based on some of the reviews we were slightly weary, but gave it a try. We were very happy with the service and the ice cream was delicious!!! The staff was super friendly as well. The kids got 2 small scoops and they were far from small. I shared a banana split that was so good I forgot to take a before picture ?
The ice cream you have on your website is not what you had . We went 3-16-2022 at around 7:30pm. Two of the three ice cream coolers where empty. There was 3 employees out front. The young man was working his butt off and one of the girls was doing everything she could to not wait on anyone. The other girl could hardly wait on anyone from watching to see what the other girl was doing. Very disappointed
