When we arrived there were just a few cars in the parking lot. Unfortunately there was only one cook and one server. Despite that once we received our food it was warm and delicious. I definitely tried not to focus on the fact that there was not enough staff because it wasn't their fault that some people chose not to show up. The server and the cook did their very best to accommodate everyone and I appreciate that.
My 2nd and final time dining at this IHOP. My first experience was unpleasant because of the super miserable depressed hostess. This time around, my experience was only marginally better.I stood at the hostess stand and the kid serving tables looked at me directly several times without acknowledging me. When I spoke up to be seated, he seemed surprised I was there to eat. ??♂️Service here is extremely slow. I ordered pancakes and chicken meal with a side home fries The restaurant was nearly dead when I came in. My food took so long to come out I started to get hangry.On the plus side, my meal was mighty delicious!Unfortunately I will not coming back.
Handicapped parking is IN BACK of the restaurant yet curbside pickup and regular parking is right outside the door. Proof that common sense isn't so common. Come on IHOP Corporate, wake up and smell the coffee!The food was mediocre at best. Pancakes weren't even warm, I sent them back and asked them to nuke them so at least the butter would melt. And it's a PANCAKE HOUSE! If anything should be above reproach, it's their pancakes.The bacon was so overly done, one bite and it broke into a hundred pieces!But I did have a really sweet waitress and the coffee was good.
Great service. Great food. We had lunch from the 55+ menu. Just the right amount of food for a great price. I had the BLT with fries. It was perfectly toasted with the right amount of B, L, and T! Husband had breakfast. Again, right amount of food. Our tummies were full, but not stuffed. It was great.
Place was immaculate. Service was excellent, prices were exceptional. Food tasted delicious. What could we ask for and expected. We were not disappointed.
Served us good and kindly took a little long to come out and seat but overall I recommend coming here
Carlsbad still has not recovered from COVID staffing issues which continue to cause slow service ///////////////////////////////
Just, generally unfortunate. There were very obviously about two employees working that evening so it was hard to be upset when the waitress was seen running around the dining room simply doing her best. It was not as hard to be upset about how uncannily like meat the pancakes appeared. Imagine pancakes that spread to the size of the entire pan, did not rise at all, and then were burnt to the point of crispiness while miraculously maintaining a soggy interior. Also, they were called chocolate pancakes on the menu, but the flavor was closer to Brown. Though unpleasant to eat, twas undeniably a culinary marvel.
You have to wait to be seated forever although there is nearly everything empty.The waitresses seemed to be bored and are literally moving in slow motion.The food was good though. The bacon and the eggs were perfect and the further pancake stacks came fast.
Absolutely horrible service. Manager needs to find another industry to be in. This is the service industry and she obviously doesn't like that part of it. Order was missing a few things never seen my waitress again. Had to eat my food from four different saucers. No plates. Why?
