Flavorful, quick, and inexpensive meal. Next time you're in Carlsbad, definitely check this place out!

Really good breakfast! I had the Chilaquiles with eggs which was delicious, & my husband had the steak omelette which he said was pretty good. This is truly a locals restaurant. Appeared we were the only ones in there who weren’t local. Service was good & staff pleasant. All this being said, the address listed on Trip Advisor for this restaurant is wrong. It’s listed as 209 S Canal, but the correct address is 509 S Canal.

I got to say that we usually meet here to exchange a shared child that my family takes care of. It's one of my favorite restaurants usually. Today not so much it was extremely busy not enough help I don't think. My plate just didn't look the same and it didn't taste the same. It just looked like they skimped on it and then the cheese inside my cheese enchiladas was still cold. I didn't complain I just ate it, but I wasn't very happy with it. Like I said normally this place is awesome today was just an off day so they're getting three stars. I will probably change my review later if it gets better on another return. Service was very slow tonight too. Took forever to get anything.I don't know if they changed cooks or what, but the food just didn't taste the same. It was different I could definitely tell a difference. The quality was off. I hope next time I return it'll be back to normal. Because usually these are the best enchiladas I've ever tried in my life, and tonight they were on the bottom of my list.

The food was very tasty and recommend it for the variety and taste! One of the largest menus that I have seen at a Mexican Restaurant.

Had a very filling and reasonable meal here, including a delightful margarita. Even had enough leftovers for the next night too!

They were extremely busy on the Sunday night when we visited. Parking was tight as a result. The food was very good and with very large portions. The margarita was very big and with a good price.

Great food and ambience. Quick service! The tacos Al pastor were phenomenal.Drinks were okayyy but food was great!

Food was ok. But whatever they use to clean the restaurant smells so strong that it over powers your senses. Made us feel nauseous.

An amazing find in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Located right in the heart of the city; it offers a very varied menu of Mexican Food. We were blown away by the authentic Mexican Flavor to everything we ordered. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We tried the Sopaipillas for dessert; it's served with honey and powdered cinnamon. the order has six(6) big sopaipullas for only $3.99. The portions served are huge and the price for their plates is ridiculously low. We continued to dine at El Jimador the three nites we stayed in Carlsbad. The restaurant has ample parking.

Saw the reviews on this restaurant and I must say it was good! Good service and good food! We will definitely be back. We tried the crispy tacos and side of nachos.
