The food took forever to get out, while others got there’s so fast. When we finally got our food it was so cold, bad service as well.We told the waitress it was cold and she went and heated it up in the microwave. The waitress never once came to the table after she heated up the food. The lady at the register asked if we wanted to leave a tip, when we said no she got an attitude and didn’t even care that the food was awful! Just worried about the money. All in all I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT YOU EAT HERE!
The food was just bad. We had BBQ and burgers and my kids would not finish their burgers. Very disappointing. We wanted to try something local but we should have just stuck with a National chain.
Grandsons ordered chicken tenders Mac and cheese, corn dog with okra and I and my daughter ordered brisket sandwich. I ordered sweet potato fries and she ordered fried okra. We came here last year after visiting Carlsbad Caverns and did so again this year. Good food !
Danny's Place is a good local BBQ restaurant in Carlsbad. They had the traditional BBQ meat options (turkey, ribs, brisket) and sides. They also had some southern / Texas standard meals. Portions were large. They weren't overly crowded, but service was not super fast if you need something quick. Friendly staff.
I placed an order in person for take out. When I got back to my motel room I realized that I didn't receive one of my sides, and the bean plus ground beef beef burrito I ordered had no beans in it. Aside from that, food was tasty, and the woman who took my order was very sweet. It probably would have been perfect if I had chosen to eat at the establishment. Had a very long, hot work day. I just didn't feel up to it.
This place is amazing!!! Highly recommended.Their ribs are tender and juicy and melt in your mouth. Some of the best BBQ I've ever had (and I'mfrom Tx). My picky parents even agreed it was quality.
French fries came out pretty hard, ketchup smelled like it had gone sour, and Mac and cheese was extremely bland. The actual BBQ was pretty good and the waitress we had was great.
As Texans, we're picky about our BBQ and Danny's delivered. Good place for family or couples. Down home feel to the joint with excellent wait staff and good choice of meats and menu options. You can't go wrong with the brisket!!
Some of the best BBQ we have ever enjoyed was at Danny's Place in Carlsbad, NM. We had two sandwiches: one turkey and one ham. Both sandwiches were loaded with meat (at least 5+ slices. The BBQ sauce was not overpowering, which we liked. We also had the steak fries and fried okra. The fried okra was cooked to perfection (we could have eaten a second order of the okra, but didn't want to be piggish). It was so tasty! We were VERY satisfied customers. Highly recommended.
Food was really good, we ordered the turkey and sweet potato fries. One word of caution, do not sit by the cashier because the phone is ringing a lot and take out orders are being picked up. Very noisy and annoying. Service was very good also.
