Wow what a tasty treat! We got barbacoa and beef fajita and both were incredibly flavorful. The charro beans on the side were worth getting on their own, lots of bacon and sausage. We took some pan dulce home too which was great with coffee the next morning.
Do Not Pass Up this place. The food is outstanding - chefs kiss ??? We ate here for dinner and breakfast because it was that good. The sweet bread was also freshly made and delicious.
Probably the best Mexican food we’ve ever eaten. We were in Carlsbad for two nights and ordered take out both nights! Nachos are the best ever! Tacos delicious! Burritos and quesadillas out of this world! Highly recommend this restaurant inside a meat market…..great people and excellent food. You won’t be disappointed!
We all enjoyed our food here with a family with kids ages four, nine, and 12. My son ordered a new Mexican style enchilada plate with steak and red sauce and my husband got asada tacos I got shrimp tacos and the younger boys got bean and cheese burritos. The food was fantastic!
Absolutely delicious food with such friendly service! The chicken fajita combo was the perfect amount for two to three people. Get the guacamole, it was amazing!
Went for dinner while visiting in the area. Went due to the reviews of having authentic Mexican food. As other have said, it looks more like a grocery/meat market from the outside, and it is one, but they do have picnic tables where you seat yourself. The menu is in Spanish and our waitress was very sweet and was learning English, so our ordering tool a little longer. I ordered the plate with fajita chicken. I thought is was coming with rice and beans, but it came with potatoes with cheese on top and white rice with peas. Chicken was good, but not a lot of flavor the potatoes were very bland tasting as was the rice. My husband order the enchiladas and red sauce. He said it was very spicy, but he did like it. His did come with rice and beans and some vegetables. The chips they brought to the table were thicker than at the restaurants I have eaten at in the past and were very good, the green chili salsas was spicy. I can not say if this is truly authentic Mexican food, as I have not been to Mexico in a very long time, so it may be or it may not. However it was good and worth a visit.
I've been in Carlsbad for 8yrs. Never knew the place existed till today. Was out driving around and happened to pass by it. Turned around and went in and ordered 4 tacos- 2 beef/2 chicken. VERY GOOD! Only one wrong was that it took me 8yrs. to know it was here. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Very authentic Mexican market and restaurant. Menu in Spanish but they are helpful and understanding to assist you. Fresh and friendly and excellent service.
Excellent food and friendly service. We both went for breakfast and had Huevos chorizo. Eggs and Mexican sausage mixed in. Best ever!!!
It was a last minute decision after a long hike. Looking for a place to eat that has alcohol but no luck. Decided to do takeout so we can have alcohol at the place where we were staying. The place was great, the person who help us with the order was very helpful, we were in and out very quick with delicious food. The food was Delicious, highly recommend this place for some authentic Mexican food.
