We got to eat here while visiting family in Carlsbad. We had the scrambled egg bowls with Asparagus. Absolutely delicious. The Pecan coffee was some of the best I have tasted. We sat outside and it was a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the food. We then grabbed a couple cookies for the road (snickerdoodle and Oatmeal raisin) and they were yummy as well. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.
Love this cute little cafe. I stop here every time I’m in Carlsbad and the service is always fast and kind. They are great at dealing with large groups and are very efficient with food and drinks. The food and coffee is always delicious. A great option for a quick warm breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches are great when you’re on the go as well.
I was here two mornings in a row as this is the spot designated “breakfast” by the bed and breakfast I was staying in. First the food is quite good, although the coffee is a bit weak. The first morning customer service was phenomenal. The B&B gave us vouchers for $18 to use. The woman behind the counter was very sweet and concerned that I didn’t use the entire amount. She even offered to save it for me for later. The second day was a different story. The girl behind the counter was quite rude and didn’t have a smile or a good morning. Wasn’t a very pleasant way to start my trip home.Overall, 4 stars, but they really need to be careful who’s interacting with customers.
We stopped in for baked goods and pastries on the way out of town. Everything was delicious. The selection was good too.
Fresh pastries were delicious! Croissant and biscotti were great! We had a sausage, cheese and egg croissant and the oatmeal. It was a nice cute spot prior to our next destination.
Eclectic eatery. Unique baked goods: we got the special of the morning banana scones. They were also serving breakfast and it was evident that this a popular place with locals.
Make sure you do breakfast here at least once. They are always packed but people seem to be mostly in line to buy to-ho pastries and coffee. I had breakfast. The best sausage patty and toast with raspberry preserves. Everything in the case looked wonderful. A lot of homemade cookies. Almost all local people so you know it is great. Fast service. Again, don’t miss. Sure glad I heard about them.
This is such a cute place. I loved it. Unfortunately they stop serving breakfast at 11am so I got to try the pastries and last plate they had of biscuits and gravy and it was delicious. We ordered the frappes and they were delicious. Will definitely be going back when I come to visit Carlsbad again next month. The pastries were delicious took some home and they were all gone quick. It’s a cute small place with awesome knickknacks and paintings. The sunflower was my favorite.
Amazing little breakfast place. No pictures of our food because we gobbled it all up immediately. The kids loved the french toast & hot chocolate (made a little cooler for the kids! Such kind service). My husband proclaimed the croissant the best he's ever had. And my breakfast burrito (with ham) was amazing. The star of the show was their fresh salsa. So bright and fresh with just enough heat. My hazelnut latte was spot on.Enjoy a morning in the outdoor seating area, a wonderful people watching spot with large shady areas or camp out on the cozy front porch. The pastries are well priced and very yummy. Don't miss the streusel or cinnamon rolls. Most importantly, get here early! The locals know and Blue House will sell out!
we were traveling and saw the bakery. staff was very good, coffee was good ( i got plain cup of dark roast) and we got some different pastry things. we liked the raspberry scone, the pumpkin muffin and the pumpkin biscotti better than the other things we got. we would go again. very cute place, lots of choices.
