I Called roughly 8-10 times (Tuesday) around 6pm to place an order for the following day (Wednesday) to pick up lunch for an office that requested food from here. Nothing after 30 minutes of calls, so I drive over as I don’t live too far away and figured maybe they were busy or phones were down. I get there at 7pm, but they’re already cleaning up and they lock the door and just stare at me from inside and start cleaning. I finally get a response after knocking a few times, they just look at me. I mouth through the window when they finally acknowledge me that I’m just trying to place an order for the next day to pick up, they basically tell me to screw off and get back to their business and shoo me off with the hand wave by the neck thing. Never coming back or supporting these guys, they obviously don’t need or want the business, so I’ll take mine to Rudy’s, or any other spot. Simple decency would’ve been coming to the door to at least see what I needed, even if they could’ve done nothing for me tonight to order, it would’ve been much better than what they did.
Ehhh. Hardly worth the cost… Add it to the list of restaurants that were good, but will shortly be closed. Also while they claim to be open till 8, they only offer takeout with a steep up-charge randomly starting sometime after 6:30. Don’t waste your time. While also not very good at least Powdrell’s is a local business, not an out-of-state franchise.
Rudy’s it is!Received a gift card for Christmas and decided to put it to work. Card purchased on Whole Hog website, Albuquerque location doesn’t except them, oh, only reason I went there. Ordered on line (price $45.02), arrived at restaurant, first thing the price was $5.00 higher than advertised online, wouldn’t take their own gift card. Though it’s in the store, potato salad cannot be ordered as a side (website). On board in restaurant, they charge $1.05 for to go containers. Then individual (lady) behind counter fairly rude.Picture below was $54, not sure if issues were do to shortages, current state of inflation, or what.Without rating food!Suggestion, stay home and cook with family!
Been a while since I have visited here. Did the brisket sandwich with potato salad. The meat was moist and stacked on the bun. I love that they have six different sauces for each person's tastes. I love the potato salad. Price was not unreasonable either.
One of the best barbecue places their meats are juicy tender and you can tell that they put attention to detail when they are taking care of the meats. Coleslaw fresh tasty very different than others but taste good. Hey one of the best potato salads that I ever had
Dicente was working the front and recommended the brisket. Great service and clean environment. Food was delicious, wish there was a bit more of the brisket, but the choices of sauce were great.
I don't like to write negative reviews but this time I have to. I got Whole Hog for a Christmas meal three years ago and it was delicious. This year I just got the buddy pack for 4 for me and my son. I was shocked to see such a small amount of meat and sides. The meat was so so tasting and kind of dry. I like Bush beans better than the baked beans we got, the hamburger buns they gave to make a sandwich with were just awful, they tasted like stale awful bread. And I ordered half beef and half chicken for the meat and they gave me pork instead of beef. And that small amount of food came to $54. Never again. I would've been happier with the delicious roast chicken from Costco and the sides they have too.

Menu showed Brisket sandwich for $9, but was actually $9.50. No biggie, but they also charge an extra $1.05 for a container surcharge. The brisket was good, but a surcharge to pack my food? gtfo here.
Always good. Got some smoked chicken and sausage for a picnic. Delicious. And had original (sweet and tangy) and no. 9 mustard-y. I love the no. 9. Picnic was a huge success!
