I ordered the chicken fried steak with eggs and patatos. The potato's were at least a few days old they were hard, dry and unseasoned. I Ended up feeding them to my dogs, the eggs messed up my stomach. Probably because the eggs were pretty much raw, they were barely cooked at all. The experience wasn't completely terrible the chicken fried steak was ok.
The coconut cream pies taste the same here as they do at the Wyoming location. They have super thick crusts and they have a sour taste to them. The thick crust is how I know it’s not going to taste good. So this makes me believe that the same person is making pies for both locations, or village inn is having pies made for all abq locations. Either way it is really sad that the pie quality went from the best tasting ever to sour with a really thick crust that requires a saw to cut through. The service at this location is really good though even though they are always busy when I walk in.
We were so disappointed in the wait staff here. They were all in the kitchen (5? of them) talking & laughing loudly. We had poor service & with all their noise it was hard to enjoy our meal. Worse than having a screaming baby next to you. Also the food was barely warm. With all the restaurants in Albuquerque....don't waste your time going here.
Was pretty busy, one sandwich would have been burnt if had been on the grill another 5 seconds. French fries, while hot, were limp and soft, no crispness here. Maybe breakfast is better? Makes me wonder if the hash browns are mushy.
Coming out of the pandemic their food and service is gone. There enchilada plate was good but is no more.
The food was as good as I remember. Wife had the huevos rancheros and I had a Ruben. I thought my wife might not like New Mexican from a place like this but she really enjoyed it. Our food was fast and hot, our server was wonderful and happy to see us. We will be back!
I hate leaving reviews like these and it's only about the pies, not the customer service.I got slices of the following pies:Rhubarb PieFrench Silk PieLemon Merengue PieAll of them are absolutely terrible. The chocolate in the French Silk was definitely made with the lowest quality chocolate - probably nestle.Lemon was the most tolerable but all three pies were excessively sweet. All I could taste was sugar, not actually the lemon or rhubarb. And they all had the same rubbery, tasteless crust. Absolute garbage, that's exactly where I put them after my wife and I tried them and agreed on how gross they all were.I have no idea how this place ranks one of the highest as for pie in the area. Perhaps I searched wrong on Google but we are so disappointed. Please save your money - just get a tolerable pie from Whole Foods or Trader Joe's in the area. For that matter, go buy a twinkie from the grocery store instead of buying this trash.
I had this lemon chicken w artichokes, tomatoes and rice bit you cant order on curbside menu or online it isnt listed Went to Far North Albuquerque
Went here for my Thanksgiving turkey dinner. Great customer service. Good tasting food. Too bad this restaurant doesn't have free pie Wednesday.
The service was really good . And the waitress was nice . They seemed a Lil busy. But was fine. Food was good. Fries kind of tasted like fish . So I'd suggest not frying those in the same place. That is only reason for 4 stars. Overall good .
