This review is for the 5501 Montgomery location only. I've been to other Twisters locations in the past and they were always good... but that was precovid. Maybe they have gone downhill. I'm not a big fast food fan, but had been craving enchiladas for the past few weeks, so offered to take my son to twisters when he was over to visit me because I knew they had at least one vegetarian chili. When we pulled up in the parking lot the place looked closed but Google had said they were open so we went in...and I still wasn't sure. There were no customers....at around six in the evening! Hmmm. And the one guy behind the counter seemed to have zero interest in waiting on us. I asked him if they were open. I had to ask twice as he seemed confused by the question or something. He was very unprofessional when taking our order, and I had to prompt him to go ask the cook when I had a question about the chilli that he didn't know the answer to. When our order came out I found that for my enchiladas the tortillas were tough and the cheese wasn't even melted. To their credit my son said his burger wasn't bad, but I don't think I'll go back to this location. They have a lot to work on. Judging by the lack of customers during the normally busy dinner hours I must not be the only one who thinks that.

Foods good, always fresh but I am always missing something important from my order. If i get a chicken sandwich the guac is missing and that's the reason i ordered that sandwich. When i get the mini nachos the beans are missing....i'll just pay the order fee and get something else closer. And get excatly what I ordered and what I PAYED for.

The service was great. It was super slow though. I was the only customer and I waiting 18 minutes from the time I ordered till the time I left. AND they messed up my order. I ordered a taco salad and they didn't put beans in it. Horrible experience all around.

Honestly the food was underwhelming the fries I got were undercooked and I use that term loosely because they were basically not cooked at all. I got the chicken burrito and the chicken was really slimy and lacked any taste. The chili carried the entire meal. The only reason I'm giving it a 2 star is because the chili was actually pretty good.

Messy burrito once again. Cold chile, hard potatoes, overall nasty tasting.

Love this local chain and so hyped we are getting one in Santa Fe finally. My favorites are the Adovada (in anything), the chicken sandwiches and the cream or strawberry filled churros. They are not the cheapest but they are fairly priced and delicious. The twister burrito is big. Really big. Share with friends or be ready for leftovers, even if you order the half sized one, they are meant for sharing.

I’m usually not one to do reviews but honestly this place has just gotten bad over the years that I’ve come here. For instance when an order was messed up or just completely inedible because a smothered burrito was just completely drenched in nothing but chili juice. It’s sad. Not to mention the dine in experiences that I’ve had. I’ve gone in many times but the couple of passed times that I’ve gone in it’s just been a bad experience. The manager Oscar is always rude and cussing, and yelling. Whether it be at an employee or customer. It’s supposed to be family friendly but it’s not the case when I have to explain to my kids that some people are just this way. Just sucks when we can’t enjoy a meal.

This location used to be decent, but we've had repeated issues in the last year with incorrect orders and attitudes from the employees, plus a general refusal to make it right from the district manager and local employees.Even when the order is correct, the food size has been getting smaller and smaller.A few events to note:- An attempt to add gratitude to the receipt and playing dumb when called on it.-Demanding to see the incorrect food, picking it apart on the counter, then insisting that most of the food was eaten and thus a refund is not acceptable.- Refusing to "make it right" citing that "twisters loses money"

This location has bad quality food. Ordered an Albuquerque burrito and the eggs were watery, the bacon and potato was SO crunchy.. This location used to be good. Not anymore, we were so disappointed we didn't even finish our food. I only took a couple bites. Really awful when you're hungry ?

Where's the beef? No ground beef on my green chili stew? I asked for it. I paid for it. Where is it? Do I really have to stop and spend time to double check that my order is correct? Today was no beef. Last week was no spoon/fork/knife. Before that was no tortilla and no napkins. Typical Albuquerque, no doubt.
