This is one of my top all-time favorite places to stop in for lunch when I'm in albuquerque. The lunch buffet is not gigantic but it does have all the classic Indian cuisine items you would want. The staff are always friendly and the restaurant decoration is beautiful. The buffet is open for quite a number of hours during the middle of the day. While it is not billed as a vegetarian buffet I would say that a full half of the items would probably be okay for a vegetarian who might want to join you for lunch.
I normally love going here for lunch. I tried take out for dinner and was deeply saddened. The kheer was rancid. The portion that I initially thought was full in a tub was 80% sauce and 20% chicken. I arrived at 5:15pm so they had only just opened. So it's not like they ran out of food. My family and I paid a lot of money for what equated to rice and sauce.
I joined several friends for a birthday celebration here. The service was great. Actually too many servers so it seemed a bit chaotic at times. I had the lamb kabob but it was more like a lamb meatball. Would have preferred something with a sauce as it was a bit dry and there was a lot of food. Took it home and made it with rice and veggies the next day and it was delicious. My friends all tried other dishes and loved them. The atmosphere was nice but it seemed a bit messy - wall hangings were crooked, the buffet was not being used to serve food so it appeared to become a catch all. Nice mix of vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes so many different needs can be met here.
Picked up food bring over to have dinner with good friends. First, we ordered early on-line but the website would not let us pick the correct pick-up time which was several hours away from the time we entered our order on-line. We had to call to make sure the ordered would be done at the time we would be there, not hours before. The girl, on the phone, had the audacity to say that the order had already been processed when we literally had just pushed the ‘enter’ button. She was clearly lying. When we said we would cancel the order she then said it would be ready at the time of our choosing, not before. Pick-up was easy but when we got to our friends’ place and opened the box full of food, we realized that NOTHING was labeled so we didn’t have a clue who would be getting what as many of the dishes looked exactly the same from the outside. What! We had to do a lot of testing and tasting to see what each dish was to finally be able to give each person what they had actually ordered. Overall, the food was flavorful and well cooked. The only negative I have there is that some of it was way too greasy unnecessarily. Would I get takeout again, I would absolutely request that they mark the various containers with what is in it, but the truth is that I probably won’t ever go back there.
I wish I could give zero stars. This restaurant has consistently been incredibly rude to me and my family. I've tried to continue to support this local place because they make good food but they have permanently lost a customer. I'm extremely disappointed in how horrible they have treated their loyal customers. If you want to eat here prepare to be treated very poorly and be berated by their staff.
Absolutely delicious!! Everything was great here. The buffet options were refilled quickly. Excellent service. All the chicken options were great wish there was something else beside chicken!Would definitely come back here!
I was excited to eat here again after several years. I recently returned to Albuquerque. I remembered eating delicious, flavorful food and was expecting that again. Sadly my food was rather boring. The chicken was dry and not especially tasty. My companion's dish was equally lacking in quality. I will give it another chance and hopefully, my next experience will be better. Aside from the food, was the fact that they got our order wrong and had to remake a dish for us. This was after confirming the order several times with the waitperson. Needless to say, I was not particularly impressed with our dining experience.
Just picked up my to-go order from this restaurantand I was very disappointed when I got home. I ordered two completely different vegetarian dishes and we ended up getting two of the same item. When I called the restaurant, they explained to me that the two dishes are 'basically the same thing, considering they were vegetarian...'. On top of this, the curry was extremely bland compared to other esteemed Indian restaurants. I would not recommend coming here if you are vegetarian or if you like options in your Indian dishes. First and last time supporting this business. :(
The flavors were amazing and had so much depth. Perfect balance of spices. I was hoping for something a little more spicy but if you don’t like heat this is a great place with a great taste. I ordered carry out and the process was contactless.
The food was excellent. I would give 5 stars if my order was timely. I called in for pickup and was told 45 minutes. I watched another customer receive their food before me when they called in their order an hour after I did.
