I can honestly say that it is always consistent. It is a huge step up from the idea of taco bells mexican food. This is actual beef, shrimp, and chicken. The price is well within reason for the amount of food you get. The salsa bar is great to personalize your plate to your taste buds. The posole is always delicious. And they offer military discounts.
Great looking nice music and great food.06/24/2022 updateThis place went down for a while but under the new management the cleanliness and customer service is outstanding. I talked to the manager and they have a strict no phone policy at this location. It seams to be working, this location is a must.
Best Rolled Tacos ever! Hot and Fresh. Get all 3 Dipping sauces, Salsa & Queso and Sour Cream. You won't be disappointed!
Roberto at Taco Cabana is the nicest guy ever! He made us feel very welcome and he keeps the dining room very tidy. He made our experience eating there fun. We will be back!
If you like nachos with no cheese or meat this is the place to go. Definitely gone down hill. Eat somewhere else save your money
Takes extra long at this location to get food , even with no one in line . They need to cook tortillas 30 seconds more and stop taking the juice out the chicken you make it dry.
When Bob heard I'd be in Albuquerque, he invited me out for breakfast. I'm kind of a diner fan (which those of you who follow my travels know), so I asked what was up with what looked rather like a fast food box store. He began raving about the owner's mission to provide inexpensive, but delicious food to the city's denizens. Now I am a fan. Everything about my visit was excellent.
Third time was not the charm. I had two very bad experiences in getting the steak fajita nachos - my usual choice - but thought I would try one more time. While the meat wasn't as burnt (#sad) and it was a bit closer to a normal portion, it still was not good. Plus they didn't include the sour cream and guacamole in the bag. I think that 3 times is a sign that it's not a fluke occurance but rather a new normal. So I give up on Taco Cabana.
I was excited to try the street tacos with shrimp, there must have been 2 or 3 tiny shrimp in each taco without much more to fill it up, the tortillas also were stuck to each other. I was hoping at least the chips and queso would make up for the rest of the plate, the queso was good, the chips were stale. Only thing that was great was their speedy service and the employees at the drive through were very nice and friendly.
The food was good but it was all tortilla. I got a chorizo breakfast burrito and there was barely any food. Every employee in there had a bad attitude. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you have a family the portions of food are super small. the prices are expensive for the small portions that you will get.
