Ice cream has always been great but this time the service was awful. Young lady said that because it was so close to closing (we came in at 5:20 when they close at 6:00) she would not make any blended items, including the shake that I wanted. When we stated we knew what we wanted, she proceeded to put the lids on all the ice cream bins. I love the products, but because of the service I won’t be returning.
Really great iced coffee and espresso drinks. Everyone’s always really friendly, too. And nice shady seating right outside.
Love this gem in Old Town of Albuquerque. Great ice cream and coffee for your shopping and the staff is super friendly. Great customer service. Nestled right next to Plazuela Sombra.
honestly pretty terrible and bizarre service. The young lady working didn’t acknowledge Us when we came in and when we asked if she worked there she said something like “yeah let me finish something for school really quick” and continues to type on her laptop. I was so confused and even asked her if everything was okay because she seemed stressed. I regret being so nice to her because she proceeded to have terrible attitude. We asked if it was possible to order a smoothie and she replied with no i closed everything down since we’re about to close. It was 5:40 when they closed at 6. It wasn’t such a problem until she was rude to my grandma. Then I really felt the need to say something. I am a server and understand sometimes work can be hard but either fake a smile or call in because this attitude was ridiculous. She acted like we were on her time. Either way I see a few reviews talking about a young girl and it seems like we all may be talking about the same person. Please train her on customer service or replace her.
Decided to try out this place. There was only one worker there and she didn't acknowledge that there was a long line and moved slowly. When it was finally our turn, she blew her nose at the register, then wiped her nose with her hand and proceeded to make our sundae. My mother asked her to wash her hands. She came back too quickly for someone actually washing them. That is unsanitary and disgusting. She should be wearing gloves while handling customers ready to eat food, or at least wash hands between orders.
Cute place with potential but the young lady working there is incredibly rude. She never greeted us and then she was very bothered that we were ordering ice cream. She spent most of her time chatting with a guy in the back. Then was on her phone laughing, calling the person bro about 10 times and cursing. I waited to get a bottled water for a long time while she stood right in front of me at the register chatting on her phone and then said "ugh, I have to call you back". A lady walked in after me to get ice cream and was also not greeted. In fact the young lady covered the ice cream with lids and then just walked away to the back to chat with some guy and left the customer standing there. She walked out very annoyed and ended up not purchasing anything. I won't ever go back. I realize that it's not easy to find staff these days but the young lady was rude, unprofessional, and worthless. I can't recall ever having such horrible service.
This place is a cute little spot for an afternoon break, especially in the summer to break from the hot sun. Their ice cream options are delicious and there's some nice, shaded outdoor seating. It's not a place you'll go out of your way to get to, but it's a nice place to get a good treat while you're in Old Town.
Old coffee knocked out of an unrinsed portafilter when i ordered a cap. because there was no brewed coffee. didn't matter what i said to the surly kid because her airpods filter out the customer lol
