Just had the mostly wonderful Mother’s Day brunch! Amazing service and food quality for such a crazy busy day of the year! We had reservations and walked straight upstairs to the wine loft and enjoyed fresh, hot delicious food and fast service! Incredibly impressed!

Dining and Catering services are excellent. We've been regular customers in the restaurant for years. This past weekend, Myra catered a reception for us. We received personalized planning and creative, delicious food. My guests were highly complementary and raved about how pretty and colorful things looked.

Champagne brunch! Get there early or make reservations if you must to dine on the patio. It's a small space, but quite a loud crowd; since everyone chats - good times!Champagne was the attraction factor for us. The grubs were just some fillers; as we had a day planned ahead for more winde tasting. If you plan on doing thr same, welcome yourselves to start your leisurely day out at Slate Street Cafe. Do enjoy the outdoor seating!

Had a great breakfast and it was close to our hotel and can sit inside or outside. Food was piping hot when it came out, delicious and all the employees were so nice. Highly recommend if your staying in the down town area.

Food was fine, nothing bad, nothing to write home about. The server was great. The issue is that a party of 6 (2 adults and 4kids) were put at a table for 4. While other tables were open.We quickly realized that the other table in the back section where we were seated also had a child. And so despite not really fitting at the table, we were shoved in the back at a too small table because of our kids. A server who was not ours asked how our meal was, we told him we were squished. He said nothing and walked away and that was that.So the bottom line is:Ok food, decent service. Don’t come if you have kids. Be prepared to be shoved in the back at a table that’s too small.Edit: called and spoke to the manager who basically chided us and told us we could have sat outside. We would have happily sat outside but that was not offered to us. He then said well you would have had a 30 minute wait if you didn’t want the table (the too small table)- again no one offered us any options.Honestly just save yourself the time and skip this place if you have kids.

We recently went for a midweek breakfast with some friends to the Slate Street Cafe. We arrived shortly after they opened at 9:30 and were promptly seated. The waitress took our drink order, but since we were talking when she came back, we hadn't decided on what to eat and had to ask her to give us a few more minutes to decide. A bad idea, since she was the only waitress and now there were other tables to attend. So it took a while for her to return. Once we finally did place our order, it did not take long for the meals to arrive. I had a breakfast burrito ($11) and my wife had “Katie's Eggs” ($12). My burrito was very good and the red chile had a cheesy flavor which I really liked. Also, the bacon was very crisp, just the way I like it. Katie's eggs consisted of a small portion of hashed browns, an abundance of very tasty ham under two eggs smothered with both the red and green chile. The green was mild and chunky and the red as already described. While I am not a coffee drinker, my wife and our friends really liked it. Both my ice tea and the coffee were $3. The atmosphere is very nice and the service was good. I think the prices were a little high for Albuquerque, but so is everything now.

My wife and I usually really like this place. But today a huge disappointment and a display of extreme incompetence. We walked in at 9:30 and got sat. A table next to us got sat shortly afterwards. The table next to us got greeted almost immediately. We waited patiently as I know restaurants these days are struggling. 10 minutes passes and nothing. Not a greeting, nothing. Another few minutes passes and I decide to ask the hostess if we are going to get service. She says that she'll get our server. Mind you, there are many servers walking around and many tables are getting service around us. Many that have sat down after us. We wait another 5 minutes and nothing. We decided to leave. Totally unacceptable. No ownership from the staff. No apology as we were walking out. Whoever was here managing the floor was obviously oblivious. We've decided that this will be our last time ever going to this establishment and we will let everyone we know about our terrible experience and waste of time that we had here. Extremely disappointed.

I made an 11 am reservation on Friday even for Sunday it was confirmed Saturday morning. Driving from Santa Fe to ABQ to meet family and was called at 940 to be told they could honor my reservation. Hostess was unhelpful and completely unconcerned this. Food quality has gone downhill anyway won’t go back.

If you're looking for a good brunch spot with good food, good prices, and a great atmosphere I would definitely recommend coming here! The staff was friendly and the food was amazing!!! 10/10

As always, the food was delicious! The first cup of decaf coffee the waitress brought was cold. She was also too talky about herself. My daughter and I came together and needed to catch up before getting to an appointment.
