Savoy pretends to be "upscale" and although the seared tuna entree was excellent, the calamari appetizer was soggy and swimming in sauce; and, the filet was overcooked. We began the evening with cocktails which arrived after the champagne was brought because the bartender was not at the bar and didn't see the order come through. Our waitress, Nina, was extremely accommodating. As for ambiance, the dining room is far too dark. After sunset, we were barely able to see our plates. We asked for a table candle to add a nice and necessary touch. The manager told our waitress to check a back closet. No candles. Savoy is not on the level of "the best" as it purports to be. Two people $235.00. Excessive for the quality and experience.
Good atmosphere!
Meat was not cooked as ordered. Even when sent back, it still wasnât right. The dining room was asked for because itâs more secluded, but the noise level in there was horrible. We could barely hear each other speak. Not happy for what we spent!
Our service was horrible, the waiter was incompetent, steak was over cooked, calamari was disappointing. When we first arrived tried to relax and get a drink, drinks never made it! Ordered bread it never made it, and this was for the kids which really put the evening off to a great start. My daughterâs steak was way under cooked and wifeâs way over cooked and the filet sauce was burned and over powering. Again incompetence says it all
I come to ABQ 4-5 times a year to have dinner with a friend & we always eat at the Savoy, their prime rib. It's delicious
