Still the best burger in town but the building is filthy and falling apart. Looks and feels like a storeroom with no AC. No longer have vanilla pudding and i doubt they clean their ketchup bottles. We've been coming here for over 30 years and it has really gone downhill. It's very sad and disappointing. We won't be returning and if we ever want a burger, we'll get it to go for sure. Not sure what happened to this place but it's time to make some changes.
Today I decided to try this place for the first time based on the good reviews.. I ordered the BLT with cheese on a sesame bun. This is what I got instead: a piece of cheese and some bacon smashed between two soggy, flattened pieces of bread..I tried to call and tell them about the mistake but my calls were sent to an automated voice message saying the voice mailbox was full... So yeah, first meal here and I'm pretty disappointed.
Rex's is probably the most fun delicious hamburger in town.There's a picture of the hamburger on the wall in the store for you order. In this place, hamburgers come the restaurant looking like the picture. It's awesome!They have a jukebox and video games in the back.If you're not familiar with Rex's, you need to go try this place.Still one of my favorites!
Killer as always! Man can't beat the quality of fresh made burgers with bacon and green chili and cheese! And for the price! Hello?!?! Man you can't even get McDonald's for the price of this place an Albuquerque staple for a reason. So Rex will take Ronald down for the 2 count anytime, anyplace! Oh baby! Soo tasty! Lol!
This is a win of the mill burger joint. We got the mushroom burger and the avocado burger, both were ok but nothing special. Both could have been easily bought at the store and made at home for much less.
This place was recommended in one of our guide books, but I suspect a lot has changed since that review. The place is dirty and they were out of several menu items. But the food was OK and the service was good. Given our short time in NM I wish we would have skipped this place.
OMG this is the first time my wife and I have tried Rex's and I must say I'm in heaven!! We ordered off of Uber eats and it's still fresh and so yummy!! The steak fingers remind me of the ones I used to get with my mom when I was younger and she's no longer here so thank you so much Rex's for bringing me back to a memory that was a great time in my life. Keep making some kick a$$ food!! People please if you're thinking about a burger, chicken or steak fingers come on by to your local Rex's it won't disappoint!!
Really good green chili bacon cheeseburgers. The fries are homemade and really good as well
The tables were not clean and everything you touched like salt shakers and napkin dispensers were actually filthy. The burger was pretty good, the onion rings were not hot and a small portion. For the price off $11 I’d recommend somewhere else when the rootbeer was best part of meal.
Telling you still easily one of the best burgers that you can find in New Mexico. Rex's been local business talking like 30 years. The outdoor Sign is little sun battered and decor is from 90s but that is what makes it even better. Clean inside, great employees and food cooked to order. Please add it to must try list.
