Excellent food and service! Best tamales and bowl of green chile in New Mexico!

The best New Mexican food anywhere! This is not the pig slop you get from most Mexican restaurants...this is true NEW Mexican food. No pig lard found in this kitchen...only the best ingredients. This is a long generational Spanish family that makes only the best Red and Green chile, not red powder and Poblano green chile, but Hatch Valley Chile. The sopapillas are exceptional, and the enchiladas are to die for.

Great place at great prices. This restaurant has some of the best New Mexican food in Albuquerque at very reasonable prices. It is not surprising this is restaurant is packed every time I go there. It is well worth it even if you have to wait a few minutes for a table. Highly recommended!

This place has been here forever, but for some unknown reason, I had never eaten here before. I was excited to try this place as I had heard it was good. They lived up to the reputation. Thoroughly impressed, I was. Food was like it would be from Grandma's kitchen. Service was attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be back. The one and only issue (and likely why I hadn't ever here before) is that it's Cash Only. I had some cash on hand today, which is unusual as I don't often carry cash, and that's why we chose to eat here today. I tried to come last week and saw the "No Credit Cards" sign on the door, so we had to go elsewhere that time.

We visited Picadillas on our way from Kansas to Arizona. We were not disappointed. The soapopis were excellent. A great place and was packed with locals. They have been in business 42 years so doing something right.

Definitely a hole in the wall, but good food. The service is fast, but it is no muss, no fuss. It was crowded and loud when we went, but it didn’t affect the service or taste of the food. Definitely worth a place to eat.

We stopped here while driving through Albuquerque, NM and got a craving for great Mexican food. The place is just a bit off the freeway but it’s super clean, the service is outstanding and as expected, the food is amazingly good. I ordered a Chicken Enchilada (breaking my vegetarian diet) mostly because it sounded good and most all of the menu items contain meat. The food came quickly and the waiter told us to try the Sopapillas with honey. It’s worth the stop just for those.Don’t miss this place!

It is one of my all time favorite New Mexican food restaurants! I go there every chance I get even though I live 30 minutes away it is worth it to take the time to get there. All members of the Padilla family appear to work there and are very friendly and great cooks! It not a fancy place but the food is great.
