Nice place in sort of an odd location (the South Valley) in the city. The place is nicely done, comfortable with some outside seating on a covered patio. More importantly the food is excellent and the service efficient with friendly staff. I had the enterprise, a loaded sandwich, and fries. The sandwich was loaded with meats and topped with coleslaw. Very tasty. The fries were also quite good. I highly recommend Nexus if you're hungering for BBQ.
Some of the best food and service that we've had in a long time. A local gem. Our server, Jacob was excellent as was all of the food that we ordered. Good prices and some great beer. Next time we're going to try some of the special drinks. If you're going through Albuquerque or live there this is a place you need to visit ??♥️
OMG CATFISH!!!!!Greens are prepared fresh an don't look like canned spinach...Asked for grilled catfish (not on menu) and it came out really thick and tender...Fried catfish was also thick and yummy...Small local selection of alcohol and specialty cocktails...Flight of beers came in 5 oz glasses instead of shotglasses... high abv local beers...All in all: 6 stars and I would invite coworkersPS: Hailey and Julia were awesome servers, very attentive and knowledgeable
I love barbecue and I was excited to try this place. The pulled pork was 50% fat. The burnt ends were 33% fat. The portions were small. The barbecue beans had lots of long slabs of bacon fat in them with hardly any beans, and lots onions and tomatoes. It was the grossest barbecue I've ever tried and it was obnoxiously expensive. ? Only the bread pudding was good.
I got the Enterprise sammy... Imagine a meat sampler of some of the best cooked BBQ you could get in-between two pieces of bread. The collagreens were perfectly cooked and seasoned greatMy only, meh moment was the bacon mac and cheese. The bacon had a bacon bits feel to it and the macaroni wasn't cheesy enough. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great compared to all the other food.
Some interesting takes on bbq dishes. We got the 1/2 fried chicken, pulled pork, brisket, fried baby back ribs, mac and cheese and the bbq beans. The fried ribs were amazing, they were what i would imagine dropping ribs into frying oil would be, nothing good for you but very tasty. The chicken was not fried chicken (which made my head want to compare to other fried chicken) but it was a very good chicken. The mac and cheese was awesome not to cheesy but lots of cheese and nothing fake it artificial tasting. As for everything else skip them. The service was very friendly but took a bit a time to get a server.
Great food, amazing service, and great music! Ribs, sausage, collar greens, Mac and cheese were bomb! Definitely be for great bbq!
Not a huge menu, but our food was good. We had brisket tacos (these are street taco sized, menu is deceiving) which were delicious, catfish tacos (nothing to write home about) and burnt ends with potato salad, the potato salad was great. The few who ordered beer liked it.
Food was good but not for the price of the meal. Had the 2 meat dinner for 20. 1/4 pound of brisket got 3 thin fairly long slices and 2 ribs. The ribs did have a lot of meatSpouse had the 3 meat which included a whole side of ribs.
Pretty decent barbecue, I had the brisket, burnt ends, and pulled pork, with Mac and cheese and BBQ beans. The brisket was dry and seemed a little overcooked, but the rest was great. Beers are pretty nice here too.
