This place has a really good filet and amazing signature drinks! The only thing is that the hostesses always seem a bit snooty & unwelcoming when you approach the host stand, which is why I didn't give 5 stars. I know this is an upscale establishment and I stay at this hotel frequently when I travel for work, but I always kinda feel like they act like they're doing me a favor by letting me go sit at the bar alone without a reservation. I don't know if this done purposely or not to try to establish an aire of exclusivity, like the clubs with the velvet ropes that let a line form outside when the place is really empty inside, but it always rubs me the wrong way a bit. That being said, the place really does have good food and the bartenders who take care of me are always super nice which is the only reason I come back.
Had a very nice dinner here. We had outdoor seating (it's the rooftop), which afforded a beautiful view of the mountains and surrounding area, and gorgeous clouds and sunset. The drinks were solid. Multiple cocktails on the menu. The bar in a slightly separate area was totally hopping when we left. We had a wonderful zucchini avocado salad appetizer, and the main courses were striped sea bass which was a plentiful portion, perfectly cooked, as well as the buffalo short rib with polenta which was totally fall off the bone, again perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. Simply a great meal. You can only get reservations if you stay at the really nice Hotel Chaco, which we did. Well worth a visit.
Lovely ambiance and views from the wrap around patio. Great service and food tasted good. I ordered the salmon and chocolate cake for dessert. Would have rated higher if the food was worth the price!
The management of this place is awful. It’s completely gone down hill, it’s sad to see such a place throw away it’s potential. The quality of the food and drinks was the worst of the worst. I ordered a white wine and it tasted like apple cider, I honestly doubt it was the wine I ordered. My partner also ordered a cocktail and the glass wasn’t even half full and didn’t have any alcohol. The music was not appropriate for the type of restaurant, they had the radio station playing with ads. Service isn’t great but you can’t blame the staff. From the bartender to the waitstaff, the cleanliness, and the overall quality, it was clear that the fault lies with management. This place takes your money without giving you any kind of value.
Level 5 for dining is stunningly gorgeous towards the evening. The city light of ABQ & Petroglyph are amazing. The food and drinks are delicious. Ver nice place to enjoy any meal with friends or date night.
One of my favorite local restaurants in Albuquerque which has a very unique and distinctive New Mexican flair. This is the perfect restaurant to try for any visitors to get an authentic experience of New Mexican ambiance and locally inspired dishes. The rooftop has a great view perched on the top floor of the hotel. The neighborhood is nearby old town and walkable from the historic district although this restaurant would be worth going out of your way for.
Beautiful setting, but the evening sun can be blinding and there were no umbrellas over the most exposed tables. Good, but pricey food. My first choice on the menu was out, but my second choice proved more than adequate. Appetizers were also very good. They were having serious staffing problems upon last visit and service, while friendly, was excruciatingly slow.
Walked out after 10 minutes of waiting for drink order to be taken. Place wasn’t particularly busy, but waitress was preoccupied sharing photos with another table. Walked right by us twice, but didn’t acknowledge our existence. Unacceptable for a place that claims to be a high end restaurant in a high end hotel.
GET APPETIZERS! Huge shoutout to our server EJ for the recommendations. From a foodie who loves larger portions at this price, of course the portions here make the cost hurt a little. But if you're gonna spend, spend a little more to get apps. EJ also recommended AGAINST the succotash pie. He said the chicken dish is fine. And the blue crab agnolotti he said is delish but heavy. All said and done, he was honest when I asked many questions and had great food advice. My sea bass was worth the wait! Hubs' ribs were tender and surprisingly hearty. Flatbread app was perfect and the artichoke app lemony but loved the texture - some "meaty" bits but crispy tops and yummy sauce. We spent over $50 each.
No proof of vaccination or masks required. Located in the Hotel Chaco. Great views with glass windows and large outdoor rooftop patio. Tables not crowded together. Cocktails and appetizer were good. Had the fried artichokes in olive oil. Very tasty. Ordered a bottle of wine. The wine was out of stock. Suggested wine replacement was not even a close comparable wine. The appetizer dishes were not removed from the table until after the main course was completed, just before the bill. Quality of food was average and a bit disappointing for the price point. Do not recommend for dinner. But a good place for cocktails and appetizers.
