Avoid. The tacos are terrible. I wish I had read the reviews before I went. I didn't order the special and got 3 tacos instead. They got the order wrong first, and then brought it back. The tacos were literally dripping oil and I left with a big oil stain on my jeans after making the mistake to pick up the taco from my plate to try to eat it. I only wish I had had my cellphone so you could see how much oil the 3 tacos had on them.Their salsa is okay. The sopapillas were disgusting. They were heavy, and had a flaky outer shell which disintegrates into your lap. What remains is a greasy and thick dough. Truly terrible.Question: How hard can it be to make a good taco? I would never visit this place again, and I'm pretty easy-going when it comes to restaurant food quality. For me to say something, it has to be bad.The only redeeming quality was the iced tea. that was good. With all of the choices available in ABQ, I would never go here again, even if I was paid to go.I also found it puzzling that nobody, neither the waitress nor the cashier asked any member of our party how the food was. I don't know if there is a management/owner problem, or what the deal is.FYI, we went during a busy lunch hour, so it wasn't an off time when we visited by any means
My Mom recommended I try this restaurant. She wanted me to try a particular item. They have a delicious shredded beef brisket burrito with or without green chili on Wednesday's & Saturday's. You can get it in half or full size. Fair warning that the full size is quite large but is excellent to share with someone. I highly recommend you try one! I'm so glad I did! I will definitely be returning for another burrito & to try several other dishes. I hear they have excellent Vegan choices & Tacos. I will let you know how good those are as well.?
My family had been going here for over 20 years and they have gone down hill. The past handful of times they have seriously messed up our orders, not only at the restaurant but ordering online too. This last time I ordered the sour cream enchiladas and instead got enchiladas filled with uncooked unions. The time before that the server took our food to a totally different table. We wanted to give them another chance, but this is the last time.
Very good new Mexican food. I chose to try this restaurant because they had vegan and vegetarian options. I had crunchy guacamole tacos with rice and beans and my husband had enchiladas. The prices were very reasonable with DELICIOUS chips ( house made) and salsa. The portions were big and service was friendly.
Possibly my new favorite restaurant in town. The tacos were amazing. Perfect crunch, perfect flavoring, and the best green chile sauce I've had. I will be back every Tuesday!
Amazing. The food is super good and affordable. They even sell small plates for when you know you can’t eat that much!! Impossible meat and vegan queso available with any of the plates. Wow. I can see why everyone recommended this place. Also staff are super friendly and wonderful.
Used to just love going to La Salita. Since they began the stand in line to order and then go sit at a table thing, it’s just been a hassle to go there. The food is excellent and usually worth going through all the hassle for. But, today was the last straw. Stood in line for 15 minutes. Finally get up to the order desk and we are told to step aside so that they could take all the orders for a large group, half of which wandered in late and were at the back of the line. Nope, sorry, this was major customer service no no number three with this restaurant in the last year. Not returning. Hire some staff so you can wait on your customers.
Food was good.. I had the carne adovada burrito.. Good flavor. Pinto beans were really good. The atmosphere had a weird vibe.. Not very inviting.. A little more happiness and it would have been perfect ! I will definitely be back !
Yessss don’t walk run to La salitas amazing food great staff and atmosphere. Best chili rellenos I’ve ever had.
