I used to love this location, what happened? I've been here a few times in the last month and it's been the same, every time. Prices when up which I understand but portion went way down. My side salad looked like something youd give a small child, i mean how expensive is lettuce? My bread on my spuntino has been so hard I feel like I'm gonna chip a tooth. Very little meat on sandwich and whole sandwich had been about 2/3rds the size. then the guy that brought food out he acted Rude when I asked him to fix my food to the way I ordered it. They are not understaffed and wasn't busy at all so there is no excuse to be treated like that. Especially when your a regular.. I will no longer be coming to your location

First time at this location, and was thrilled with the experience here! The staff here were SUPER fantastic and so welcoming and warm. All around great time here thanks to the staff! Food was fantastic, and when I ordered extra cheese on the pizza, they actually delivered unlike most places. The spicy oil “Olio Picante” is amazing, and super flavorful as always. Seating was plentiful, and you could chose anywhere to sit, like the other locations. Enjoyed this location a lot, and will be back!

I have been to il Vicino a few times. It has very good pizza and my daughter would have her last meal be the fettuccine! The last time I went I was a little disappointed to be honest. It's not the cheapest place a meal drinks and a couple deserts came out to $117. You have to order and pay before you sit down, which is not very much fun if not everyone knows what they want. Poor planning on their part. Also asks to leave a tip before you've received the meal. I paid 17$ tip, feeling almost guilted. I believe in over tipping when the food and wait staff is excellent. As well as under tipping when the opposite, along with a verbal or written explanation as to why.long story longer, they brought are food and my wife's pizza was not made right, they made a different pizza by mistake. Then the waiter tried to tell her to kind of eat it anyway like, "what you don't like artichokes" which she didn't. Sometimes you want to try new things, other times you go to specific places because you have a specific taste you need in your mouth hole. This was one of those times for my wife. They did fix it but I felt bad for wanting to eat in front of her and she wouldn't take a slice from me. Deserts are fantastic I personally love the flourless chocolate cake. While my daughter likes the tera mousse. Il Vicino is unfortunately hit and miss. Their clunky ordering before you sit down slows down the process and rushes you unintendedly. If they have take out. Perhaps that's the way to be eat here.

Come and enjoy this ABQ Italian tradition at the location that HASN'T been erased and turned into a gas station! Fantastic pastas, salads and pizzas, with a good wine and tap selection as a bonus. Owner & staff are always friendly and treat regulars (& new diners too!) like family. You'll be glad you tried it, and will definitely be back for more. ?

we shared a small spicy shrimp pizza. it was plenty to share for light eaters. had to buy the spicy Olive oil to take home. staff was awesome too especially David in the kitchen.

this place was bomb it was our first time there we order a margarita pizza a pepperoni pizza And a margarita with green chile and mushroom added 4 sodas and the price was great service all was great

I spent over $50 for a pizza, salad, and a beverage. This is their rendition of a margarita pizza? This is an overpriced cheese pizza... im so dissatisfied. Why do you guys do this. I'm a good customer

What a fabulous find! Niece and nephew took us here today for lunch. When they were dating years ago, this was their favorite Tuesday night restaurant after work. We know why now. Food and staff are excellent.Kevin & Kevin were attentive and proficient. They told us that they don't often work together. We're glad they did today. They worked well together, for us & other patrons.Kevin 1 took our order when we came in. Kevin 2 helped us find a table for 7 on this first day of 2022. Unfortunately the pre-teens ditched us, and our lovely table for 7 became a table for 5.Both Kevins brought, and filled, drinks. They both brought our salads, pizzas, and calzone. Everything was so delicious. Husband and I devoured our 7 inch pizzas. He had the sausage and I had a pesto mozzarella pie with garlic and spinach. Niece and nephew brought home half of their salads and pizza. Not sure how much friend and pre-teens ate or carried home.We loved the ambiance of this place. Oven was unusual and intriguing. We didn't visit the bathrooms, but one pre-teen told us that the pink was soap and black was hand sanitizer. Good to know!

I've never eatin here, I drive for doordash and the way Il. Vicino treats their doordash customers, I would never want to eat here. They don't care to package their to-go orders like other businesses so if someone wanted to taste your pasta n problem!. Put the food in bags to ensure safety especially during a pandemic. You'll never get my normative business

DO NOT ORDER AS TAKEOUT OR DELIVERY!!! They are always either out of something or straight up forget part of the order. This has now happened to me three times. The worst part is that they will not refund the amount due to the customer or offer a gift card. Most recently I ordered through their website and the Toast order service they use could not find my order and was zero help in resolving the issue of a $25 discrepancy due to them being out of the bottle of oil I ordered. Previously I was delivered an order that was missing my tiramisu, which was what I was most excited about. Il Vicino was once one of my favorite restaurants, but I will now be dining elsewhere.
