Great burgers here. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The burgers can be ordered in a bowl to avoid the gluten.
I have been going with my family for three summers straight now. The food always comes out great, but I avoid when the kitchen is slammed.I was first introduced to them when I drove through Durango and I liked that they are a unique brand with higher tier ingredients. I could not help but laugh at people leaving negative commentary over the lack of Diet Coke. Deep head shaking occurred. Even though I don’t like any sodas, it’s cool that they have their own selections outside the norm. The staff have always been courteous and polite. It’s a burger place, what were some of you expecting?Probably one of the cleanest places to eat in town as well. Just take a look at the kitchen and then at some of the “top recommended” places around town.
Great burgers, terrible service. I've been to this location on the west side of Albuquerque three times all of which were meant to be curbside take away. They never come out. When you get there you get a message that says we see you and someone will be out shortly. Then nothing.Eventually I get so annoyed that I just go in and get the burger which is important when I'm caring for my elderly father during a pandemic. The last time I went in and asked them if they did it and the kid behind the desk said yes but sometimes its hard when we are busy. I looked around and the dining area was half full, maybe a couple of people in line (I watched them walk in from the curbside after I checked in upon arrival). The burgers are great however just set your expectations.
The burgers were good but nothing special. They weren’t greasy and had a nice buttery toasted brioche bun. The fires were crunchy and delicious. The sodas were a Durango Co brand and not to my taste. They do charge extra for their ordinary chipotle mayo. But it does have a lovely outdoor seating area and plenty of parking. Overall mildly satisfied
Great ? burgers, well cooked and friendly helpful staff. Rockin fries (both) don’t forget the chipotle mayo!
The food last night was hot and was good. The service was great. There was a hefty wait time but like a business owner myself I completely understand. My family and I understood and the staff seemed to be running as fast as they could. I saw other customers really upset and lash out at the fact that it was taking a while. We are in a labor market where no one wants to work. And I like many others are suffering the consequences of these crazy pandemic. Consumers are ruthless and they shouldn’t be . We as humans have no compassion for others.
something happening lately with cook/staff. Black bean burger was deep fried and they served burnt fries. I've been a fan of this place, but the last 3 times my meal has been spotty. Today, When I returned the burger and requested they not deep fry (black bean was never before) the super didn't seem pleased. Also served with burnt sweet potato fries. I say their quality of food testing needs to be currently checked. IT USE TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE PLACES :(
The staff was warm and welcoming, with fast and polite service. I ordered the green chili burger with bacon and sweet potato fries. The fries were excellent with good flavor, as was the bacon. Fries and burger with bacon add on was nearly $15. They also charge extra for sauce. The burger was decent but I did expect more for this price point. The patty lacked flavor, perhaps the beef tasted too lean. The bun was cold and dry, I would have preferred it lightly buttered and toasted.
The cashier was ready at the register to greet us and said hello. I asked how big the turkey burger was and while he was quick to show me with his hands he didn't really go above and beyond to explain it's thickness or that it wouldn't be very flavorful. So---I ended up with a burger that wasn't very juicy or flavorful. Despite the fries being delicious due to the rice bran oil---I wasn't impressed with the cashiers lack of enthusiastic explanation. Overall-I like the decor and vibe but it's not just about that and food. It's the energetic approach to working the FOH that counts.
