Got turned away only doing carry out, was horrible 3 car loads of upset people looking to have a good time at our favorite spot on a Friday night . At this point if you can't keep a staff maybe it's poor management idk but there's a problem. Gladly went somewhere else where we could dine and enjoy our food .
LOVE this spot! Quick service great food, just love the location and the food soooo much :)
They mixed up the bases on our orders and did not offer to remake it or give us a refund but just gave us a plain plate of the bases. It defeats the entire point to have a plain bowl of rice and pick out the food from one bowl and put it in the other when it’s all supposed to be cooked together which is the entire point of this kind of food. It was honestly really disgusting that way and we took so long that we didn’t even get a chance to finish eating since we had to catch a movie. So I paid $47 for 2 gross plates that were made completely wrong with no refund or even remade food. I’m never ever coming here again.
Stay away from this business! Below is the email I am sending to every upper level manager I can find. To whom it may concern, I have managed to track down these email addresses in order to report the most unprofessional service and experience I've ever had at any eating establishment. Today, May 13th, my family and I went to the local restaurant at 4410 The 25 Way NE Albuquerque, NM 87109 to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived at the restaurant we attempted to be seated but we were informed by the hostess that they would not seat ANY party more than 5 people because they were short a waitress. I would like to set the scene before I go further with the conversation I had with the manager. In the restaurant was a party of 4 at one table and another party of 2. The entire remaining seating of the place was vacant, so being busy could not possibly factor into how we were treated. The bartender was standing alone simply wiping the counter, the cook was sweeping (zero customers in line so NO COOKING going on), the waitress/hostess was simply walking around doing nothing and as I come to find out, the "manager" was sitting at an empty table. I asked to speak with the manager and he came over to speak with me. Again, I was told that because of "staffing" problems they would not seat any party more than 5. I asked "so if we come in as a party of 4 and 3 that would work?" He was very rude to me telling me that because of staffing they could not. Keep in mind, I'm still watching everyone in the area doing absolutely nothing. I will let you know, just as I did the "manager" that I am very happy that your company is doing so well and flush with money that you are able to turn away paying customers. He again said he wasn't turning me away, but that is exactly what he was doing, telling a paying customer that he did not want to have us in his place of business because "they were shorthanded". I understand that in these times things are tough, but it would seem to me that any company who is interested in succeeding and taking care of their employees and the paying community, that a little hard work would be the least of their worries. Apparently not so at your location at 4410 The 25 Way NE Albuquerque, NM 87109. To say that I am angry is an understatement. In our community I have seen local business do any and everything possible to keep their customers happy and coming back. I've experienced hard working servers and managers doing whatever is necessary to keep the business running. The way I see it, there are only three real possibilities for the type of treatment my family and I received: Genghis Grill corporation is indeed doing SO well, that the financial success of its franchises and its employees is of absolutely no concern, and the stockholders, CEO's and officers are simply sitting around lighting cigars with $100 bills. Genghis Grill is completely out of touch with its franchise owners and their operations. In which case, I truly hope that my concerns are taken seriously as customers are fickle and can find many more options out there if they are treated like garbage, like we were. We happily took our money and spent it somewhere else. Genghis Grill needs to do some follow up as to how its franchises are being run and listening to serious concerns from its customers. Again, I truly hope that this is taken seriously. I've eaten there before and enjoyed it, but I will not be returning, nor will I be recommending it to anyone. Businesses are closing their doors every day and this hurts the hard-working people trying to make a living. And if a business is left in the hands of an incompetent, rude and uninterested "manager", the end is inevitable. I would expect every business out there, after the last 2 years of struggle that we have had, to make every effort to remain successful and bounce back. I guess it all depends on which of the 3 theories Genghis Grill thinks most appropriate. I will add that my family had a wonderful meal and serv
My wife and I are traveling. We stayed at the Hampton Inn, which is conveniently located right across from Genghis Grill. We decided to stop in for a take-out order to bring back to the hotel. We both got their average size Basil Pesto Chicken Bowl. The food was prepared while we waited; we watched as they cooked it, so we knew all the ingredients were fresh. We both agreed, our meals were delicious, and the only negative we have is, we wish this eatery existed back where we live. Excellent food. Highly recommend!
delicious food!! friendly staff decent price!! check them out
Great food as always. Our server was grumpy and nonexistent, so we had to get things off of other tables and our own tea refills. Another server noticed and became ever so helpful. I'm on crutches currently, or else getting my own tea, sugar, silverware wouldn't be such an issue. I still tipped 30% hoping that might change the mood.
I unfortunately ordered the wrong thing this time. I have never had a bad experience until I ordered the Mongolian steak bowl. I think it was the sauce that ruined the dish for me. The meat was cooked well and by itself it was delicious, but the sauce gave it a ketchup type flavor. I tried my best to get around it, but the more I ate the worse it was. I gave this 3 stars because the manager was gracious enough to refund my money for the half eaten bowl. She didn't seem too happy with my opinion on the food though. I ended up finishing my wife's leftover food for the rest of the lunch. She had the Carne asada, which was pretty good.
Saturday was our first time eating here. Food was amazing!
