After taking a hit of some homegrown blunt this guy offered me at the pow wow in downtown I found myself up for 3 days straight walking around downtown screming randomly at cars in the street and lost my shoes, when I came to I was in my a hotel The Prickly Pear and John Cena was there and Wiley Coyote too, talk about tripping but only in in the 505 was this my reality, realizing I had not eaten in days, John recommended to go to Garcia's, #OMGreenChiles it hit like Tyson on a plane, i got KTFO, for some old school Neuvo Mexico classicitos, I highly recommend this spot after a fear and loathing 3 day binge you will be grateful you did. I recommend it all. Cost was pre COVID prices now that's what's Uuuuup they also carry all cokes even coke aye. odele', ever since then I now see John Cena in my dreams holding a plate of Garcia's Nachos in one hand and famous Jar of Garcia's homemade Salsa in the other saying "You want some come get some'"
You can never go wrong with Garcia's. The struggle is knowing the capacity limit of your stomach because it is all New Mexican goodness, served fresh daily. On this particular day I went with thr Karnita plate and an appetizer of Chicharrone with a side of red and green chile, pair this with freshly made tortillas and you have heaven on a plate!!
This review is for Garcia's catering. We had an event this past weekend and we're very impressed with the staff that served our food. Food was well prepared ..except the fruit. I know we weren't in season for alot of fruit selections but the fruit was served at room temperature. A few of our guest remarked about it but still they were loving the main dish. The family was totally happy with Garcia's and will use them again!!!
Authentic NewMexican food with a deep history in the community. Friendly service in a family environment and great food! We had chicken tacos and a combination fajita plate. Excellent!
Amazing!! We ordered take out. We had our food in 5 minutes even though they were very busy. The employees were fantastic and very attentive. FOOD WAS AWESOME.
I want to preface this review by saying that I have liked Garcia's for years. Decades. And I hope for the best for them. But we need to be honest about the quality of food they're serving now, and it's really not very good.A few weeks back I decided to try some fajitas with green chile. The meat was tough and flavorless, the vegetables tasted frozen, and the green chile was mediocre. Just kind of bland overall. I know restaurants have off nights and I don't think that one poor meal should disqualify a restaurant from my go-to list. If I were a new customer I probably wouldn't have gone back, but I didn't think that Garcia's had really turned into a bad restaurant.So I decided to try again this week with a different selection and...it was really bad. So bad that I stopped eating halfway through and threw the rest in the garbage.First, the chile relleno was terribly greasy. Saturated with grease. It made the red chile it was smothered in viscous and slimy the relleno was so greasy. The actual pepper tasted as though it came from the frozen isle at Smiths. My enchiladas tasted like an onion. Just an onion. The red chile was gelatinous and bitter. It was almost brownish. The rice was obviously packaged.I swear to everything good in this world it made my stomach ache eating it.The only reason this isn't getting a 1 star is that the staff is wonderful and I truly, truly hope that Garcia's can get back to what it used to be. As for me? I'll never go there again. Too bad.

Called said hold but hung on, called back again hold and was long time, ordered change in menu specials choice changed to only one verse What was listed...that ok no biggie. Told 10 minutes , go call from curbside finally answer ..hold then ok but wait 10 minutes while cars behind us drive up and leave, call back let know again still waiting... Smh. Got chicken enchilada special very bland and green Chile was basically thrown on top so rest was dry. Was lotta food. Only thing was bit tasty was the rice. Curb side girl was nice ?.
Garcia's Kitchen is one of our locally-owned restaurants hole in the wall so to speak! Food is made fresh and New Mexican style...Friendly staff...
the staff have always been super friendly. I can't remember a single visit that I wasn't greeted with a smile and helped throughout my meal.
