Absolutely loved this place. The food was so reminiscent of being in my Uncle's backyard, cooking for the whole family. It was delicious without being overdone on spices and such that hide the taste of the meat. The side were very good especially the corn with green chile and cream cheese. We had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, who clearly has a passion for his craft. He has built this place up ground up, inside and out. The decor is great and from talented local artisits. We will definitely be going back to enjoy more. We hope this place stays around and thrives for years to come. Very much enjoyed every bit.
I was going to post a picture of a pulled pork Sandwich first but I ate it that fast ?. We finally got the opportunity to go and grab a bite of BBQ and boy did it not disappoint. The brisket and pulled pork sandwiches were so moist and mouth watering each bite brought me joy and I wanted more and the sweet and tangy sauce just completed the experience for my taste buds. The Mac and cheese was good. If you're in Old town it's definitely the spot to grab some food.
The brisket sandwich combo was really excellently priced -- the bread was soft and flavorful, the brisket was tender and smokey, and the sides were delicious.I appreciated their BBQ sauce, which was sweet and complex. The only minus was the temperature of the brisket was slightly cool. Maybe this was a one-off experience. But I still highly recommend this BBQ spot.
These guys are great and they really care about the food they make! It was the best creamed corn I have ever had and it tasted more like a very rich Mac and cheese. I also loved the green chili stew so much so that I asked for the recipe and attempted to duplicate it when I got home! The bbq was good as well but they were out of a few options. Give them a try you will not be disappointed!
I got the loaded Mac n cheese. It was pretty awesome. Polynesian and BBQ sauce was available. I asked for both and they but both on. It had some great flavor.Staff was super cool and accommodating. Will come here again next time I'm in Albuquerque.
We tried Fat T’s BBQ this weekend and were impressed with their brisket and pulled pork sandwiches! Both the brisket and pulled pork tasted wonderful, a perfect smoked flavor. The sandwich portions are just right if you are getting sides. The Mac n cheese, baked beans and potato salad were all delicious. The fried zucchini was amazing too!The best BBQ I’ve had since living in the Deep South! The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the decor inside is very cool. There’s comfortable outside seating as well.
Best BBQ in ABQ! Original sandwiches, tasty BBQ sauce. Brisket is outstanding ,moist, and at a great price! They smoke everything in house, and the quality is on point! Come to Old Town and experience the best of the city!
Cool quaint place. Lots of outdoor and indoor seating. BBQ was very good. The portions were small for the price. We split a BBQ sandwich with two sides ($19) and were honestly surprised how small the sandwich was (5” total?) but the brisket was very good. Staff were nice. We will come again.
Best brisket I ever had!My husband and I were starving and stopped by at this place right after two young men closed the store. They kindly opened the store to make us brisket BBQ sandwich and sweet potato fried. It was the best brisket BBQ I ever had! It didn't have too much sauce on it, so you taste the meat, not sauce. It was so tender and melted in my mouth. Absolutely highly recommend.
Good luck with parking but easy to find. Atmosphere and staff are great. Sausage links are ok and sauce is good BUUUT that brisket sandwich is LEGIT! I'd say best in town and definitely worth a visit!
